Nick Cordero Is Definitely Covid-19 Negative, Here's Why He's Still Battling So Many Problems
There is some good news for Nick Cordero. He has tested negative for COVID-19. So, why is he still battling so many health issues? Cordero’s devoted wife, Amanda Kloots, has provided an update. Back in April, it was announced that Cordero was fighting for his life, and his battle has been prolonged and severe.
For context, the Blue Bloods actor has endured a medically induced coma that took him a while to wake up from. After showing some “early signs” of coming to in early May, Nick Cordero finally woke up later in the month. Now, Cordero’s wife is ready to provide another update, and, unfortunately, the impact of his original illness is still being felt. On Instagram, Amanda Kloots said:
Nick Cordero’s wife says that he has “slightly” improved but is still “very sick.” She confirmed that the doctors had moved his resting position in a bid to help his airways, which has apparently led to positive results in the past. Although he no longer has the virus, Cordero’s body is still dealing with the aftermath.
Due to the virus ravaging his body, Nick Cordero has had to have his leg amputated and a pacemaker inserted. Following that news was the devastating blow of Cordero suffering from holes in his lungs. Despite waking from his coma and showing signs of improvement, he is still fighting an array of issues. Kloots said:
Nick Cordero and his lovely family will remain in my thoughts and prayers, and I know I am not alone in that. Cordero’s family had been staying with Scrubs’ Zach Braff during his hospitalization. Braff starred in a video supporting real-life medical staff who are dealing with the illness in hospitals, so he knew all too well about the battle those workers face, as he supported Cordero and his family through their horrible ordeal.
Zach Braff is not the only one who has shown their support for Nick Cordero’s family. Sylvester Stallone sent a message to Cordero after learning that he had woken up from his coma. As you can tell from Amanda Kloots’ above update, though, awakening from his coma has not put Cordero in the clear.
Last week, Nick Cordero’s wife got emotional as she told well-wishers that her husband had suffered a “bad morning.” The virus has done a horrific number on Cordero’s body, but at least things do sound as though they are going somewhat better now, seeing as how testing negative for COVID-19 is undoubtedly a step in the right direction.
