Zac Efron Is Wet And Shirtless In First Look At New Netflix Show

Zac Efron has certainly kept himself busy since his days as a teen heartthrob, and taken on a variety of projects that either show the much lighter or the much darker sides to a character's personality that he can play. Through it all, though, one aspect has remained consistent in most of the roles Efron has taken on: he's a hot dude who's not afraid to show off his hot dudeness. Well, Efron is now at the front of Netflix's Down to Earth with Zac Efron, and he's giving the reality series a boost by letting fans have the wet, shirtless Zac we all know and love.

Lest you think Down to Earth with Zac Efron is actually a show about him deciding to chuck it all and go live in a nudist colony, the series actually features Efron and wellness expert Darin Olien traveling around the world to look into a variety of healthy and sustainable ways of living. The feel-good travel documentary will debut in July, and to get us excited (maybe in more ways than originally planned) Netflix has dropped the first photos from the series on Twitter. Take a look!

Alright, Zac. Not bad, Mr. Efron, sir. I can appreciate that Zac Efron seems to have not gone overboard with the torso nudity or the wetness, at least when it comes to the situations shown in the four photos we got from his new show. Most guys would be shirtless and wet in the ocean or when a stranger is...blowing smoke over their horizontal form, right?

Efron also seems to have taken his workout regimen down by some significant degrees from his days as a Baywatch hottie...I mean, badass. Yeah...badass. And, I'm sure most of us can get behind that (heh, heh), especially considering that the actor recently admitted that being Baywatch-level ripped on the regular is not for him, saying:

...I realized when I was done with that movie I don’t ever want to be in that good of shape again. Really. It was so hard. You’re working with almost no wiggle room. You’ve got things like water under your skin you’re worrying about. Making your six-pack into a four-pack. Shit like that that’s just not… it’s just stupid, it’s just not real...I may do it again if it was something worthwhile but let’s wait 'til it gets to that. I’m good. Take care of your heart. Take care of your brain. I’m good.

Awwww, Zac! I love it when buff actors admit how hard it is to stay looking super fit all the time. Plus, it's not like the man has let himself go. That mystery smoke-blower is working over a torso that many folks would love to do some naughty things with, and to, I'm sure. And, I honestly can't wait to see how whatever is happening in that picture is part of a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. Gotta hand it to Down to Earth with Zac Efron; I am intrigued.

In the other first look photos, we get glimpses of what appear to be him kneading dough and, obviously, tending to some bees with a very sincere and loving expression, which led to probably the best comment on this post that anyone could have hoped for:

Yes. Maybe Zac Efron's next reality show should be one where he just traverses the globe to give people his longing, bee-keeper, gaze. It sounds much better than doing a show that lands him in the hospital, and I'm sure our boy could use a bit of a break right about now.

Down to Earth with Zac Efron will hit Netflix on July 10, but to see what your other viewing options are, check out our 2020 Netflix guide and see what's coming to TV over the summer!
