90 Day Fiance's Kenneth And Armando Seem Perfect, Should We Be Concerned?

Kenneth 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way

Warning! The following contains spoilers for 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way's episode "Wing And A Prayer." Read at your own risk!

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 2 has delivered on the drama in spades so far, but it has also delivered a bit of wholesomeness that, frankly, may come as a surprise to some. Amidst all the chaos between couples, the show has introduced its first gay male couple Kenneth Niedermeier and Armando Rubio, and so far, they both seem like easy-going well-adjusted people. Should we be worried, or are these guys destined to live happily ever after?

It's a question that we don't have the answer to yet as Kenneth and Armando still have yet to link up in-person on the show. "Wing And A Prayer" focused mainly on the 57-year-old Kenneth saying goodbye to his son, three daughters, and grandson and finally setting off for his new life in Mexico with Armando. There were tears on all ends (including mine), and it seems clear Kenneth is going to have a hard time adjusting to life without having his children close by.

That's a problem the 31-year-old Armando can relate to, as he is moving away from his family with his daughter in order to start a life with Kenneth. His reasoning was he didn't want to start a gay relationship in his small town, nor subject his family to the judgment of others. His parents were sad about the move, but luckily, accepted their son's coming out much better than the first time he tried to do so.

So while both Kenneth and Armando seem like stand-up men, they're both big on family. Both will be separated from them in this new life, and I can certainly see that being an issue despite their feelings for one another. Kenneth especially seemed to take leaving his family behind hard, and they will have the much greater distance to travel if they want to visit. Could this be where the drama comes in for them in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way?

Lucky for inquiring minds, we have social media to give us some hint of how Kenneth and Armando are doing in the present day. Kenneth recently shared a picture of the two in front of the beach with the caption "#lovewins," so I'm optimistic that things are going well. Also, back in March, Armando shared a photo that showed the two posing in Mexico with some familiar faces.

It looks like two of Kenneth's daughters made the trip to Mexico to visit their dad and hang with Armando's daughter! So regardless of what's coming on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way for these two, viewers can breathe just a bit easier with the knowledge that social media makes it appear like the couple are still together and doing well.

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way airs on TLC Mondays at 9:00 p.m. ET. Continue to stick with CinemaBlend for more on the franchise, and for the latest happening in television and movies.
