The Boys' Hilarious Blooper Reel Features Karl Urban F-Bombs And Homelander Running Into Walls
With so many superhero shows on TV right now, Amazon’s The Boys carved out its own path, flipping the script by turning its caped superheroes into the world’s worst nightmares. Season 1 premiered last summer and, though the season has been over for some time now, there’s still some entertainment to be mined from The Boys Season 1. That is highlighted in the show’s hilarious blooper reel. Karl Urban drops a few F-bombs and Antony Starr’s Homelander runs into walls, but what the blooper reel ultimately proves is that no matter how dark The Boys can get, humor always finds a way to shine through.
There is no TV show that is complete without a blooper reel. I’d even go so far as to argue that it’s one of the best features on any series’ DVD or Blu-ray release. However, given that The Boys is an Amazon original, the blooper reel was released online and it doesn’t disappoint. Awkward silences, paper flying right into Antony Starr’s face during an intense scene, and Chace Crawford comically wiggling his eyebrows in the mirror are just some of the gems in the video. You can watch the Season 1 bloopers below!
It’s very clear that the cast had a lot of fun filming Season 1 of The Boys. Perhaps one of the funniest moments occurs when Jack Quaid’s Hughie asks where the bathroom is and he’s told to go left. After a long pause, Quaid is seen walking across the hall to the other side. He was given wrong directions, whoops! The crew can be heard breaking out into laughter in the background, which makes the moment even better. Antony Starr pretty much sums it all up at the end of the blooper reel, saying:
Cheers to that! The Boys will be back for more diabolical adventures in Season 2. The series will also introduce a major new character to the Seven, the elite, corporate-backed team led by the villainous Homelander. And, if you thought Homelander was bad, wait until you get a look at Stormfront.
The newest member of the Seven isn’t exactly a fan of Homelander and she’ll be pissing him off right out of the gate. It’s too bad that Madelyn Stillwell won’t be around in Season 2. She was the only one able to temper Homelander’s bursts of anger and violent tendencies in Season 1 despite their disturbing relationship.
The Boys Season 2 will premiere on Friday, September 4 on Amazon Prime and will consist of eight episodes. The first three episodes will be made available all at once, followed by the release of one episode a week for the remaining five episodes.
