The Masked Singer is about to come barreling back onto Fox this fall for Season 4, and while we already knew they were planning some upgrades to keep things thrilling for fans, we've finally gotten a look at something coming our way for the new season which is sure to come as a shock to viewers. That's right, folks, we're now going to be treated to The Masked Singer's first ever celebrity duet contestants. Let the guessing commence!
Audiences were thrilled to hear that The Masked Singer was able to begin filming on Season 4, even with all the new restrictions currently in place, so that the planned fall installment would be coming our way as expected. Now, though, we have the added bonus of getting to check out the show's first duet competitors, and I bet the teaser will get all of your thinking caps set to try and pick out some early clues for who these two could be. Take a look!
Well, well, well! This should be a tricky one! As noted in the (very brief) teaser for The Masked Singer Season 4, these two have been christened as The Snow Owls, and, from what I can see (even after several viewings) the costumes look basically the same. The only clear difference between them would appear to be that they're wearing slightly different crowns, but I'm sure that...owl-eyed fans will be able to take this simple potential clue and run with it.
I have to say, I don't think that anyone was expecting The Masked Singer to come up with this kind of game-changing addition to the competition for the new season. After three seasons of watching celebrity contestants perform and get unmasked one by one, though, this is a very good way to change things up and keep fans excited for what's to come.
And, as I just alluded to, you can bet that The Snow Owls will be set to perform together, have all their clue packages be filmed as a duo and also get unmasked at the same time. The feathered twosome is also going to appear right off of the bat in the Season 4 premiere, so you won't have too long to wait in order to start gathering clues for who these folks might be.
As an early guess, seeing as how they're standing in the same hatched egg, I'm going to just throw out the idea that these are actual identical twins and say...maybe we're looking at Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Housley of Sister, Sister fame. Though, I will readily admit that a lot of my impetus there is just because I can't think of any other celebrity twins off of the top of my head. Plus, we already know that those two are really close. Can't wait to see if I'm right!
The Masked Singer will reveal a lot more about The Snow Owls and everything else that will play a part in Season 4 when it debuts on Fox, Wednesday, September 23 at 8 p.m. EST. But!
