Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley’s friendship just keeps getting better. The Vampire Diaries co-stars reunited for some adorable puppy-filled fun, and they are showing off their sweet time on social media. Unlike Wesley’s reunion with Ian Somerhalder in Poland last year, dogs were around for Wesley and Dobrev’s.
Nina Dobrev took a break from weighing in on Elena’s choices to share a picture of herself, Paul Wesley, and his wife, Ines de Ramon. The trio can be spotted cuddling their precious pups in a snapshot bound to fill the heart of every Vampire Diaries fan and animal lover with glee. Check it out:
Paul Wesley, his wife, and Nina Dobrev seem to be having the time of their lives with their divine pooches. In the comments section, Wesley lamented, “Poor Greggy in this photo.” I would assume that is the precious puppy in between him and Dobrev. Either way, The Vampire Diaries stars look happy.
It is a far cry from how the stars’ relationship started. Nina Dobrev took Vampire Diaries fans by surprise when she revealed that when the show began, she and Paul Wesley “despised each other.” Wesley later called his initial row a “cool lesson to learn,” and all the bad vibes are nowhere in sight now. Dogs sense that kind of thing.
Since getting off on the wrong foot, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley have forged a great friendship. The amount of fur flying (in a good way) in the picture of Dobrev, Wesley, and his wife can attest to that. Earlier this year, Dobrev started 2020 with a sultry reunion between herself and two of her other Vampire Diaries co-stars, Candice King (Caroline) and Kayla Ewell (Vicki).
Nina Dobrev’s Elena was best friends with Caroline and not-so-best-friends with Vicki. Dobrev evidently remains close to Paul Wesley despite Dobrev’s early exit from The Vampire Diaries, and the three years that have passed since the show ended. Dobrev returned for the finale.
Since the finale, Paul Wesley has starred in the horror anthology Tell Me a Story. It is airing on The CW if you missed it on CBS All Access. Wesley has also gone on to direct an episode of The Vampire Diaries’ spinoff, Legacies, wherein he taught how to perform a proper vampire feeding. Nina Dobrev, on the other hand, has steered clear of vampiric activity.
The actress signed on for what would become a single-season sitcom before signing up for a new TV show. All told, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley’s careers are continuing nicely. Thankfully, The Vampire Diaries’ stars friendship is following a similar trajectory.
