Warning! The following contains potential spoilers for upcoming episodes of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way Season 2. Read at your own risk!

90 Day Fiancé isn't always a series where the couple gets or stays married, but marriage is a driving force behind the premise. On 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, almost all the couples are married, but one couple wasn't. Now, it looks like they might be engaged, which may be a huge shocker to fans waiting for the reality spinoff to return. Jenny Slatten and Sumit recently posted a photo of themselves online and seemingly teased that they're one step closer to tying the knot.

The couple recently took a photo for social media, and look to be all smiles hanging out. The fact that they're happy isn't all that surprising, but eagle-eyed fans noticed Jenny Slatten is rocking a ring on her finger that could mean a marriage is moving forward. Take a look!

Jenny Slatten and Sumit's major storyline in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way has been one where marriage has been the goal, but is presented as unattainable at the moment. India's very complicated divorce proceedings has kept Sumit from being able to finalize his divorce until he clears a significant debt to the family of his ex-wife, and even then, he would need the permission of his parents to get re-married to Jenny.

The latter had been teased to be a pretty big deal, as his parents could bar the couple from being legally married within India. The details of why this was a problem weren't entirely known until recently when the show revealed Jenny had lived with the family for some time after Sumit introduced her as an American friend visiting the country. The parents grew quite close to Jenny Slatten and did not know until after four months of Jenny living in their home that she and their son Sumit were engaged in a romantic relationship.

If Jenny Slatten is wearing a ring, then I think it's safe to speculate Sumit's mother and father won't stand in the way of a marital union. That isn't to say they'll approve of it, however, but both Jenny and Sumit have stated that they're fine living as social pariahs in India provided they can live their lives together.

They might not have to live as social pariahs if Sumit's parents have signed off on marriage, or perhaps the plan is to leave India and get married in America? Maybe the ring is just a symbol of the ceremony they're still trying to make happen. We can only speculate at this point.

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way returns to TLC Sunday, October 11 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Continue to stick with CinemaBlend for more on the franchise, and for the latest news happening in the world of television and movies.
