90 Day Fiance Star Speaks Out After ICE Detainment And Deportation Incident
90 Day Fiancé is always a bit of a rollercoaster for the fanbase, but clearly the drama doesn’t stop when the cameras stop rolling. In fact, this year ICE has even gotten involved. News broke recently that show star Larissa Dos Santos Lima, known for being the ex-wife of Colt Johnson and being involved in the Colt and Jess storyline on the Happily Ever After? version of the TLC series, had been arrested by ICE and now has spoken out about the situation.
According to reports, Larissa Dos Santos Lima was taken into custody by the U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement last week. It initially seemed as if she would have to surrender for removal from the U.S., but People had reported that her legal team worked things out. Her rep Lindsay Feldman revealed to that outlet that the ICE detainment was a “misunderstanding” and that her client has been released. If only that were the end of it.
When the arrest happened, the Internet was rife with rumors that the ICE incident was a stunt, but now Dos Santos Lima has shared her own story on the social media platform, indicating that she is tired of reading about rumors related to her person online and that this was not a stunt.
The 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star was responding after this week TMZ also said the outlet encountered a secondary document that mentions Larissa Dos Santos Lima had been “placed in removal proceedings” though those involved with the case did not corroborate the documents that outlet had seemingly located.
Initially, when the ICE event happened, Larissa Dos Santos Lima had been preparing to move to Colorado with her new boyfriend, Eric Nichols, whom she posts about regularly on Instagram. The two had been prepping to say goodbye to Los Vegas when ICE showed up. Her rep did also reveal that Lima had successfully moved to Colorado after the initial incident.
Larissa Dos Santos is originally from Brazil and has expressed on the reality series that she has had concerns about being deported previously. She had come to the country originally on a K-1 visa and was previously married to fellow TLC star Colt Johnson in 2018. That marriage didn’t last, and the two were divorced by May of 2019. Colt Johnson had been dating another Brazilian woman named Jess, though that on-screen journey resulted in a break-up recently too. TLC has not commented about the ongoing situation thus far.
