90 Day Fiance: Why Brittany Returning To Yazan In Jordan Is Bonkers
Warning! The following contains spoilers from the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way episode "Ready Or Not." Read at your own risk!
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way's midseason premiere had all sorts of drama for plenty of couples, and yet things were as calm as they'd been in a while for Brittany Banks. She was back in America and looking to get some answers on finalizing divorce proceedings from her previous marriage, which was something she successfully hid from boyfriend Yazan Abo Horira during her latest trip to see him.
Unfortunately, the divorce paperwork has to be filed all over again, which means Brittany Banks is still legally invested in her first marriage. And yet, she's still planning to return to Jordan, where she will presumably be back under lots of pressure from Yazan's religious family to get married to him. The last time she was there, they legitimately wanted the whole thing to be said done mere days after the conversations they were having, so I can't imagine they'll be cool with waiting even longer whenever she returns and makes that known.
Also, 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way viewers may remember that in order for this marriage to happen, she has to present evidence of the dissolution of her former marriage. Brittany Banks intentionally said nothing about this during the last trip to Jordan, so to return now with the excuse of a previous marriage surely won't make anyone happy. In fact, Yazan Abo Horira was previously ready to call off the wedding when Brittany said she wouldn't convert to Islam, so I cannot imagine this news will be well-received.
On top of all that, Brittany's trip to Jordan was presented as a terrible experience overall once she wouldn't cave to Yazan's wishes. Brittany has since alleged that Yazan told her she'd be able to live an American lifestyle while living in Jordan, but then flipped the script when she finally arrived. Every scene with the couple on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way was full of fighting and aggression that it was a bit of a relief for me when Brittany had an excuse to go back to America. But now she's going right back into the lion's den, and apparently the situation is worse than when she left.
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way teased towards the end of its premiere that whenever Brittany Banks arrives in Jordan on the show, someone will be explaining to her that Yazan Abo Horira is in some real trouble. Apparently, because of her actions – mainly her seductive Instagram page – and Yazan's love for her, there are people who "want to kill him" and he cannot return home for that reason. Sounds slightly dramatic.
Brittany even breaks down and cries in the trailer, and while I don't know for sure, I have a feeling that divorce still won't be finalized in that scene. Also, if Yazan is in trouble, it seems like Brittany could land in some kind of trouble as well while she's visiting. This whole thing just smells of a bad mistake waiting to happen, but I guess that describes most storylines in this franchise.
