90 Day Fiance's Angela Deem Is Now On Pillow Talk, And Fans Aren't Happy
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way returned for the rest of Season 2 recently, which meant more content for 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk participants to react to. As is often the case when a show in the franchise returns, Pillow Talk got a bit of a casting shakeup to its own lineup. This time around it was Angela Deem and daughter Skyla on the episode giving their thoughts on the midseason premiere.
It was a development that, quite frankly, was ill-received by a fair number of 90 Day Fiancé viewers. Some were complaining that they had already had enough of Angela in Season 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? and to see her back in the fold and on television so soon was a bit too much.
Some fans got more than their fill of Angela Deem during her storyline on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? in which she chronicled her Nigerian wedding with husband Michael Ilesanmi. While some enjoyed her dramatic journey to marriage, others are glad for it to be over and they'd rather not have to deal with Angela's over-the-top antics on a more laid back show like Pillow Talk.
To say Angela Deem is an odd choice for a show called Pillow Talk is a bit of an understatement. Angela is one of the more high-energy personalities of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise and, as the recent tell-all for Happily Ever After? may have shown, is more than ready to inject herself into another couple's drama. Some Pillow Talk fans have already had enough of her antics and comments, and have requested she be removed from future episodes.
For other viewers, it's not so much that Angela Deem is on the show, but that she's occupying a space another beloved cast member of the franchise could be in. Much like in the Thunderdome, someone's got to go when another enters. A few fans are already calling for Angela's removal if only to bring back some of the people that have been on Pillow Talk a long time who weren't present in the episode.
It should be noted that fans often pipe up when the Pillow Talk lineup of commentators is changed. There was a small outcry earlier in the year when Karen Everett and River Everett of The Family Chantel popped on for a couple of episodes, and they were eventually cycled out. It was never said whether or not their exit was planned by TLC, but they did seem to leave not long after fans started responding negatively to their participation in Pillow Talk. It's possible the same thing could happen to Angela if fans continue to respond negatively, but there's no telling for sure.
