No Big Deal, Just Baby Yoda Looking Super Adorable Ahead Of The Mandalorian Season 2
Nearly a year after its premiere, The Mandalorian is almost back for its highly anticipated second season. There are so many things fans are looking forward to in the new slate of episodes, which will continue the journey of the titular antihero also known as Din Djarin. The show will also see several other characters like Cara Dune and Greef Karga return but, let’s be honest, the one character most people can’t wait to catch up with is The Child – or Baby Yoda. The public can’t get enough of the little, green alien and, ahead of Season 2, Disney+ has given us our fix with an adorable new poster.
Disney+ released several character posters for The Mandalorian Season 2, Baby Yoda’s is by far the cutest. In the one sheet, the Force-sensitive tyke is shown sitting in his signature hover pod while making an adorable expression. You can check out the poster for yourself down below:
When seeing this poster, it’s honestly difficult not to gush over the sheer amount of cuteness that is Baby Yoda. The image doesn’t tell us anything new about the character, but many will be happy to know that he’ll be as cute as ever when he makes his return. And even though they’re not as cuddly, the character posters for Mando, Cara, and Karga are pretty cool as well. Take a look at them here:
Season 2 will center on Mando’s continued efforts to discover The Child’s origins and return him to his rightful place. Along the way, the two will continue to cross paths with both friends and foes, as they navigate a galaxy that’s become unpredictable since the fall of the Galactic Empire.
The Child may be the cute kid of the show, but its role could be very important as the story progresses. Given its Force abilities, it’s clear the character has ties to the Jedi, and those connections could be realized in Season 2. The reported inclusion of Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano could very well play into this part of the story. Some have even theorized that it’s Ahsoka’s destiny to train The Child, but that’s merely conjecture at this point.
Still, if the first trailer for Season 2 told us anything, it’s that Mando and Baby Yoda are going to have a much closer relationship this time around, as the two are far more familiar with each other. The fan-favorite moment in which Baby Yoda retreats to his pod when Mando reaches for his blasters is evidence of that.
The final stretch before The Mandalorian’s return is going to be the hardest but, in reality, we’ll be back in the Star Wars universe before we know it. Plus, we have this perfect Baby Yoda poster and the others to tide us over in the meantime.
