When Kaley Cuoco's Big Bang Theory Follow-Up The Flight Attendant Will Premiere On Streaming
Kaley Cuoco has not had a shortage of roles since The Big Bang Theory ended its 12-season run in 2019. Cuoco has since gone on to voice the titular role in the animated Harley Quinn series, and she also booked a leading role in the HBO Max drama The Flight Attendant. At long last, it has finally been announced when the series will premiere on streaming.
The Flight Attendant will debut on November 26 (the same day as Thanksgiving), and will drop the first three episodes of Season 1 all at once before releasing the remaining five episodes on a weekly basis, thereafter. The premiere date news came with a neat poster shared to Twitter. The moving poster showcased Kaley Cuoco’s character falling (presumably from a plane) while surrounded by the flight’s oxygen mask, her shoes, a knife with blood on it, and a couple of other curious items. Take a look!
The poster is pretty cool, right? It certainly sets the stage for a dramatic murder mystery to unfold. Along with the premiere date news, the HBO Max account also teased that a trailer for The Flight Attendant was on the way and would premiere tomorrow, October 20. Stay tuned for that!
In The Flight Attendant, Kaley Cuoco stars as the titular character Cassandra Bowden. She wakes up in a hotel room in Dubai next to a dead body with no recollection of what happened or how she got there. So, she leaves the body behind and hops on a flight back to her home in New York. However, she begins to wonder if she is, indeed, the killer when she starts being questioned by the FBI. What a sticky situation to be in!
The role is certainly a change of pace for Kaley Cuoco and much different than her turn as Penny in The Big Bang Theory. My guess is that Cuoco will certainly get to stretch her dramatic acting chops for this one and I’m excited to see what she can do. The Flight Attendant also stars Birds of Prey’s Rosie Perez, Michiel Huisman, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s Michelle Gomez, Zosia Mamet, T.R. Knight, and more. The series is based on the bestselling novel by Chris Bohjalian.
There was some turbulence for The Flight Attendant because the pandemic shut down production and grounded the series for several months. However, the cast and crew were back to filming the HBO Max series in September. I would say that things seem to be going well enough for the show to finally get an official premiere date. Viewers should fasten their seat belts because The Flight Attendant is ready for take-off. (I’m sorry; there are so many great puns to use here!)
The Flight Attendant will premiere on Thursday, November 26 on HBO Max. For more on what to watch in the meantime, be sure to check out our 2020 fall TV premiere schedule.
