Katee Sackhoff Has A Sweet Response For Fans Of The Mandalorian Season 2
Spoilers for The Mandalorian’s latest episode – “Chapter 11: The Heiress” – are ahead.
The Mandalorian gave Star Wars fans just what they wanted with this week’s episode. The show saw Mando and The Child land on the moon of Trask, where they run into some unexpected allies in the form of fellow Mandalorians. One of these warriors is a character that fans of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Rebels are sure to know well, and that’s Bo-Katan Kryze. Adding to the excitement is that the role was played perfectly by Katee Sackhoff (who also voiced the character in her previous appearances). Following her performance, the fans have been showing her a lot of love, and she’s responded in a sweet way.
In a Twitter post, Katee Sackhoff expressed her gratitude for the positive responses to her live-action debut as Bo-Katan on The Mandalorian and expressed her hope that they’ll love her as much as she does. Check out her sentimental post down below:
Katee Sackhoff was so excited that she actually misspelled The Mandalorian title when she used the show’s hashtag. She acknowledged her mistake, and gave an A+ explanation for making the small error:
The actress’ excitement is totally understandable, as it’s not every day that you get to star in a live-action Star Wars project. And the icing on the cake has to be that the fans are responding so positively to her portrayal. It’s true that she’s already accustomed to playing the role, though bringing the character to the live-action format was still a leap of faith for the producers.
Bo-Katan’s role in the episode allowed Katee Sackhoff (a Battlestar Galactica alum) to really dig in and get back to the sci-fi action that so many have come to know her for. Bryce Dallas Howard’s excellent Mandalorian episode gave Sackhoff some stellar action sequences that really allowed her to showcase the physicality that she can bring to a role. Her appearance also has major story-related ramifications.
Near the end of the episode, Bo-Katan gives Mando information on the whereabouts of Jedi Ahosoka Tano and, by the end, he and the Child head off to find her. Not only does this finally open the door for Ahsoka’s long-awaited, live-action debut, but it also leads to the possibility of even more Clone Wars or Rebels characters making appearances on the show. I mean, I can’t think of any fans who wouldn’t want to see someone like Mandalorian Sabine Wren pop up at some point.

Although Mando and Bo-Katan parted ways, the character could very well show again in the future, meaning we could indeed see Sackhoff play the role again. There’s no telling how she might figure back into the series, but it’s likely the situation will involve her fighting alongside Mando once more, possibly for that coveted Darksaber.
