After several weeks of tough competition, tears, and a fair share of injuries, Dancing with the Stars finally crowned its winning ballroom couple for Season 29. In the final moments, it was revealed The Bachelorette alum Kaitlyn Bristowe and her pro dance partner Artem Chigvintsev would be taking home the Mirrorball trophy, and Bristowe’s boyfriend Jason Tartick had the absolute best reaction to her win.
The remaining four Dancing with the Stars couples took to the dance floor for the last time in the Season 29 finale in a bid to earn both the judges’ praise and the votes from viewers watching from home. After taking some heat from judge Carrie Ann Inaba earlier in the season, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Artem Chigvintsev wowed Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough with their Argentine Tango and Freestyle. After landing a perfect score twice, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Artem Chigvintsev were one of two couples left standing, along with Nev Schulman and his pro partner Jenna Johnson.
As soon as Tyra Banks announced Kaitlyn Bristowe and Artem Chigvintsev as the winners, confetti rained down and the Bachelorette could not contain her enthusiasm as she held the highly coveted Mirrorball trophy in celebration. At home, boyfriend and fellow Bachelor Nation vet Jason Tartick was following the final results. He posted his reaction to Bristowe’s win on Instagram, and to say he was over the moon about it is definitely an understatement. Watch Tartick’s reaction below!
I love that Jason Tartick didn’t just include the moment Kaitlyn Bristowe won, but also added in the moments leading up to it as well. Honestly, his reaction is very relatable because I, too, probably couldn’t stand the waiting and would want to shout “Say it!” at my TV screen. Tartick even had a champagne bottle ready, excitedly jumping up and down while Queen’s “We Are the Champions” played over the video. It was a pretty perfect reaction, minus any ballroom dancing from Tartick himself.
Competing on Dancing with the Stars has always been one of Kaitlyn Bristowe’s dreams, and she was completely caught off guard when Bachelor Nation host Chris Harrison revealed that she would be a contestant on the show back in June. Her dream has certainly been fulfilled and the fact that she won presumably made the experience all the more worth it and memorable. I’m sure Bristowe and Jason Tartick will be celebrating this win for a while to come, and I hope that Tartick saved some of that champagne to share with her.
