Will Smith And Fleetwood Mac Cranberry Juice Guy Dominated TikTok In 2020, But Weren't The Top Video
TikTok’s been a big deal these year as major celebrities such as Will Smith, Mick Fleetwood, Stevie Nicks, Anthony Hopkins and even Cameron Diaz all try their hands at making viral content that will resonate with fans of all ages. The social media site recently released its list of biggest videos in 2020 and Will Smith and Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams’ cranberry juice-centric video both made the Top 10. However, neither actually landed the very top video of 2020.
In fact, that honor went to TikTok user Bella Poarch, whos “M to the B” video has been all over the interwebs in 2020. Her dance and lip-syncing videos regularly rack up millions and millions of views but the “M to the B” video was particularly successful, with TikTok noting it landed in the #1 slot. This means it beat out some higher profile celebrity content (though Poarch is no slouch), as well as that viral cranberry juice video and a fun video the NBA posted from that time people still attended basketball games.
Will Smith is often having fun with viral videos and the one that cracked the Top 10 may have done so due to it featuring a funny throwback reference to that time he starred as J in Men in Black opposite Tommy Lee Jones. So, I see how that’s the one that really took off.
As far as consistency goes with celebrity TikToks, there’s also one name who stood above the rest: Cats actor Jason Derulo. Though, I will say I’m quite partial to Jack Black myself.
Love it or hate it, TikTok’s profile is rising heading into the New Year, so if you haven’t given lip-syncing or dance videos a whirl yet, now is the time. Or just go ahead and while your afternoon away watching the Stevie Nicks and Mick Fleetwood follow-ups to the juice guy’s. You won’t regret it.
