The Mandalorian's Katee Sackhoff Reveals The Clone Wars Moment She'd Like To Perform In Live Action
When Katee Sackhoff was revealed to be playing the role of Bo-Katan Kryze in The Mandalorian, many Star Wars: The Clone Wars fans were thrilled. The feeling was mutual for the actress, who finally got to bring the character she voiced in the Star Wars animated universe for years to live-action. But even though Sackhoff has finally portrayed her character in live-action, is there a chance she'd get to recreate some of her most iconic scenes from the animated realm?
The question of whether that will happen is up in the air, but if it does happen, Katee Sackhoff already has a scene in mind. The actress spoke to TV Insider about The Mandalorian and revealed the Star Wars: The Clone Wars scene she'd like to act out on the Disney+ series, or possibly one of its spinoffs:
For those unfamiliar, the events in which Katee Sackhoff is referring to happen in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 5 episode "The Lawless." Bo-Katan's sister, Satine, dies at the hands of Darth Maul when Obi-Wan Kenobi won't succumb to anger and channel the Dark Side, and Obi-Wan is held prisoner soon after. He's later rescued by Bo-Katan, which leads into the moment discussed by Sackhoff.
The scene isn't just one that could lend itself to great storytelling by being retold in live-action, but there's also an easy way for it to happen. Should Katee Sackoff be brought back for an appearance in the upcoming Obi-Wan series at Disney+, there could certainly be a sequence in which that event is tackled in a flashback. Perhaps Sackoff knows that and may be dropping some hints that there's such a scene in her future, if the powers at be can find a way to make it happen.
There's still a question as to whether or not Katee Sackhoff will return to The Mandalorian, though it's worth noting there is a story to tell. Bo-Katan Kryze and her crew are no doubt in pursuit of the Darksaber, something that was previously in her possession before it got into the hands of Moff Gideon. Given that The Mandalorian takes place long after Star Wars: The Clone Wars we probably won't see Sackhoff's dream live-action scene in this series but, when it comes to this show, I've learned to never say never.
The Mandalorian airs new episodes Fridays on Disney+. Continue to stick with CinemaBlend for all the latest news happening with the series, and for a look at more happening in television and movies.
