COVID-19 has definitely changed up the production landscape for TV shows but, despite this, many have been able to push on and continue production, with COVID-19 rules in place, of course. Netflix is currently experiencing this with its own projects, and one of those shows is sci-fi series Another Life. The show recently wrapped on its second season, and its main star, Katee Sackhoff, recently found a way to mark the occasion.
Katee Sackhoff took to Instagram to celebrate the end of filming on Another Life Season 2. The actress shared a pair of photos which showed her and new co-star Tongayi Chirisa on the set and making some fun poses. Check out the post below:
In her caption, Katee Sackhoff also expressed her hope that fans enjoy what she and her castmates have in store with Another Life Season 2. While the photos don’t actually say anything specific about the new episodes, fans should still be comforted knowing that Season 2 is a step closer to being completed.
Another Life Season 1 focused on the storylines of Katee Sackhoff’s Captain Niko Breckinridge and Justin Chatwin’s Erik Wallace, a married couple living two very different lives. After an alien monolith lands on Earth, Niko leads a crew into space in the hopes of discovering the artifact’s true origins. Meanwhile, Erik, a scientist, remains on Earth and attempts to find ways to communicate with the Monolith.
As we learn by the finale, the beings behind the monolith are known as the Achaia, and they’re not exactly benevolent creatures. Despite this, using Selma Blair’s Harper Glass, they manage to convince the people of Earth that they come in peace. Season 2 could very well see Niko’s crew return to the planet to warn of the alien race’s true intentions.
It’s safe to assume that things could get pretty dicey during this new season of Another Life, and it could definitely mean big things for Niko, Erik and the show’s other characters. And based on the plans the Achaia seem to have, a serious war could be on the horizon.
In addition to Another Life Season 2 wrapping, Katee Sackhoff has had other major achievement to celebrate. The actress finally made her live-action Star Wars debut as Bo-Katan Kryze during the second season of The Mandalorian. Sackhoff has explained that it took some time for she and the producers to translate the character from animation to live-action, but the final product has been praised by fans thus far.
We still don’t have an official release date for Another Life Season 2, though it wouldn’t be surprising if the show were to land sometime next year. But until we receive word, fans can only speculate as to what lies ahead in the sci-fi drama.
