Of Course Candace Cameron Bure's Controversial 'Boob Grab' Photo Was Her Biggest Moment Last Year
It's a new year, folks! And while 2020 did present many unbelievable challenges that had many of us spending a lot of time spinning our wheels or, I don't know, maybe crying in a corner at some point, by and large we were still able to find ways to entertain ourselves and keep life moving along. With that, we stuck to our social media habits to share all of our best work-from-home lounge wear and foamy sour dough starters, but some people, like Fuller House star Candace Cameron Bure, took things several steps further. She shared a boob grab photo a while back that caused quite a stir, and now it turns out that it was her biggest moment last year.
For all the social media posts that go viral and make temporary stars of their creators, it still doesn't happen to that many of us. And, generally, it somehow seems that boobs aren't even involved in said viral fame, but such was not the case for Candace Cameron Bure back in September. Over Labor Day weekend, the Hallmark star posted a shot on Instagram of her husband of 24 years, former NHL star Valeri "Val" Bure, gleefully grabbing onto one of her boobitas while they enjoyed some time outdoors.
Even though the couple was fully clothed, there were many fans who were not pleased with the display. And, when I say "not pleased," I do mean totally pissed. But, that backlash turned out to be kinda good for Cameron Bure, because she's now taken to Instagram to share that it turned out to be her top post of 2020. Take a look:
As you will notice, Candace Cameron Bure opted not to repost the actual boob grab photo, likely so that her full message about what she learned in 2020, and her wishes for everyone in 2021, would get the full attention she wanted it to without the (honestly) not-so-salacious nature of the picture of Val holding onto her front goodies getting in the way. You can't say she's not smart about what she posts and when, right?
Cameron Bure has had to speak about the original post several times since it first caused a bit of trouble. She's noted that the whole uproar "makes me laugh," mostly because she feels it's a bit wrong-headed to pretend that sexy stuff between married people can't be fun or at least be addressed in a fun way, even when those married people are Christian. The actress has also spoken up lately about how she tries to be open about sex with her kids, so she's probably glad that the boob grab controversy allowed her to talk about an issue she's seen within her community.
Hopefully, 2021 will be better for everyone, which is exactly what our Boob Grab Queen, Candace Cameron Bure, wished for in her post. You can see more of Cameron Bure in the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, but for more to watch in the coming weeks, be sure to check out our guide to winter / spring TV premieres!
