Is Kim Kardashian Still Wearing Her Wedding Ring From Kanye West Or Not?
There have been rumors swirling for several weeks now that Kim Kardashian and her hip hop superstar husband Kanye West are going through such a shaky time in their marriage, that a divorce is actually imminent. While most of the reports began after it seemed like West missed all of her 40th birthday festivities in late October, mid-December saw rumors that the couple have been, supposedly, living separate lives, with sources alleging that they were headed for divorce shortly after the new year. Now, it appears that there's confusion over whether or not Kardashian is still sporting her wedding ring from West.
Even in times of trouble and strife we can pretty much count on Kim Kardashian appearing in many photos, which are religiously uploaded to Instagram and / or Twitter. Being a public figure is a huge part of Kardashian's brand, and while she hasn't commented on the speculation surrounding the current state of her marriage to Kanye West, fans can't help but notice how often Kardashian's been without her wedding band lately.
According to Us Weekly, Kim Kardashian was last seen wearing her ring while she was roaming about Los Angeles on January 4. If you're fans of the Kardashian West union, I know that you're probably thinking, "Yay!" but it's not quite so easy. You see, earlier that same day, Kardashian posted a since-deleted Instagram picture of herself as she promoted some upcoming items from her Skims fashion line, and (you guessed it) the ring is clearly no where in sight.
Prior to all of this recent business with her ring, the last clear picture we had of Kim Kardashian with the simple gold band was way back on November 11, as she can be seen with it on in her KKW Beauty Birthday Collection promotional images. During the reality star's family birthday bash trip to a private island, though, she had taken the ring off for several of the shots seen on her social media. But, between when she posted birthday shots and her wearing the band in early January in L.A., there weren't any pictures of her clearly wearing the ring.
OK, there has been a lot going on with this whole ring thing, but there's also been a lot going on with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West the past several months, and I really feel for both of them. Some of the on / off ring thing business likely just stems from her not wanting to lose it or mess it up. Kardashian said way back during her marriage to Kris Humphries that she took that ring off to workout and before bed, so it makes sense that she would have kept up the tradition with her band from West. But, even if that's not the reason why she's been seen without her ring so much lately, the alternative would be understandable.
In late July 2020, Kardashian had to speak out after a series of bizarre and troubling public statements from West, along with his bid for the presidency, which led many to wonder about the state of his mental health. It has appeared since then that the couple has been trying to work through some major issues, none the least of which is how West is faring with his bi-polar diagnosis. Add to that raising their four children, and Kardashian getting serious about her legal career, and it's quite a bit to deal with.
The truth is that breaking up is very hard, especially if you've been with someone for a while. This is even more true if you're married or have kids, so Kim Kardashian and Kanye West both have tons to think about when it comes to deciding whether or not divorce is the right move. If they mange to work through any issues they could be having, they might share what the journey back to a stable relationship was like, but until such time, all we have to go on is speculation.
