Sounds Like Kim Kardashian And Kanye West's Marital Issues Will Be Part Of KUWTK's Final Season
Rumors have been swirling for months that Kim Kardashian and her rap superstar husband, Kanye West, are headed for a divorce. While nothing has been confirmed by either member of the famous couple, fans have been looking for any possible clues to try and figure out whether or not there could be truth to these reports. Now, though, it seems that there might be confirmation that there is some trouble in their relationship, as viewers of Keeping Up with the Kardashians might see some of their issues unfold on the new season.
The upcoming Season 20 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians will be the last, and while a recent trailer for the new set of episodes does feature plenty of family drama, there was no hint within that any of the focus will be put on the difficulties in the marriage of Kardashian and West. However, according to an anonymous source who spoke with Entertainment Tonight, the final season will detail some of their troubles, though it will not serve as a main storyline.
If this information is accurate, it still remains to be seen which aspect of their marital problems will be shown in KUWTK. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have had a very dramatic and public past few months, which began in earnest last summer after West began posting troubling statements on social media and engaging in some controversial behavior while out and about. His activities (which included him deciding to run for president and alleging Kardashian wanted to abort one of their children) garnered so much attention that his wife finally spoke out about living with someone who's been diagnosed as bi-polar.
Even though Kardashian acknowledged that West's condition didn't "diminish or invalidate his dreams and his creative ideas," she also asked for "compassion and empathy" so that her family could make it through what was pretty clearly a difficult time. On top of that, it was said at the time that Kardashian had made it known to everyone in production on KUWTK that she would not allow any of his troubling behavior to be used as a plotline on the show.
While the public outbursts from West have calmed considerably over the past few months, that hasn't stopped the divorce rumors, with fans taking everything from West supposedly not being at Kardashian's birthday celebration to her being spotted several times without her wedding ring recently as signs that the couple either has or will soon announce a split. Sources have also recently said that these aren't the only issues in the Kardashian West marriage, as the couple now wants very different things from life.
Kim Kardashian has gotten very serious in the past few years about pursuing her law degree and trying to be a part of real changes in the criminal justice system, and that is said to be at odds with Kanye West remaining committed to a presidential run in the future, as well as how he's been attempting to go about that. In addition, there have been even wilder rumors floating around that the supposed breakup is due to West sleeping with well-known beauty YouTuber Jeffree Star back in 2011, though Star himself has said such an incident never happened.
Right now, we'll just have to wait and see what, exactly, Keeping Up with the Kardashians will show when it comes to marital woes of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. The new season begins on E!, on March 18, but for more to watch in the meantime, you can check out our guide to early 2021 TV!
