The Sweet Way John Krasinski Paid Tribute To His Daughters During His SNL Appearance
Saturday Night Live fans got a real treat this past weekend, as A Quiet Place director and The Office alum John Krasinski hosted the comedy show for the first time. The episode featured a number of notable moments including a recreation of Pam and Jim’s kiss, featuring Krasinski and Pete Davidson. There was also a performance from none other than Machine Gun Kelly. But in the midst of the bright lights and the comedy, Krasinski found a sweet way to pay tribute to his daughters.
John Krasinski is married to fellow actor Emily Blunt and, together, the couple has two daughters, Hazel and Violet. During interviews, Krasinski occasionally talks about his two girls and shows them a bit of love, and this was also the case with his recent Saturday Night Live appearance. As the actor, along with the cast, said good night to viewers and audience members, he sported a sleek shirt that featured his daughters’ initials. Since then, his stylist, Ilaria Urbinati, took to Instagram to share a photo of his sweet attire. You can check out the post below:
Having a dad who’s a well-known Hollywood actor is already cool, but having your dad also honor you on a show as big as Saturday Night Live is huge. One has to wonder how 6-year-old Hazel and 4-year-old Violet reacted to the shirt. Because they're still so young, they may not have paid much mind, but there’s a chance they did take notice and gave some cool points to their pop. Either way, you can’t help but love the sentiment.
John Krasinski and Emily Blunt both seem to be loving parents who make sure to spend as much time with their children as possible. This is one of the reasons the couple doesn’t currently reside in Hollywood. Blunt has previously stated that she likes to leave enough time between projects to spend time with her husband and children and that living in Hollywood would make this difficult.
The couple has definitely had plenty of time to spend with their family over the past year due to the quarantine regulations first instituted in the early days of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. While quarantine may have been rough, John Krasinski found a way to stay optimistic and productive.
During that time, he started hosting the internet show Some Good News, during which he would share positive updates and even bring in surprise guests. The show actually proved to be so popular that ViacomCBS bought the show, and weekly episodes could be available to watch on CBS All Access, albeit with a new host.
John Krasinki’s pleasant and easygoing personality was a welcome addition to Saturday Night Live, and it made for a great episode to kick off the new year with. Hopefully, this won’t be the last time he gets to host at 30 Rockefeller Plaza and send love to his little girls.
