Cobra Kai Season 4: One Star Knows What They Want To See From Their Character Moving Forward
Cobra Kai Season 3 has come and gone, and fans are already anxious to see what lies ahead for the students of the Cobra Kai, Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang Karate teams. There are a number of questions regarding Season 4, and it seems as though the producers know where they want to go. It’s anyone’s guess as to what they have planned for the new episodes, but Gianni DeCenzo, who plays the hilarious Demetri, already knows what he wants to see from his fan favorite character:
Demetri has had one of the most entertaining arcs on Cobra Kai. He began as the nerdy friend of Miguel Diaz and Eli Moskowitz but, when his two classmates join up with Cobra Kai and adopt new attitudes, Demetri is thrown for a loop. This would lead him to join Miyagi-Do in Season 2 and learn karate from Daniel LaRusso. While Demetri wouldn’t be a fast-learner and had to learn to get over his fears, he becomes a solid combatant in Season 3 and gains more confidence (and a girlfriend) in the process.
As Gianni DeCenzo told Collider, we could definitely use even more from Dimetri, as it still feels like we’ve only scratched the surface with his character. With that in mind, DeCenzo would also be open to seeing more of Demetri’s home life:
So far, not much is known about Demetri’s backstory, and there’s still plenty of time for him to be fleshed out. Season 4 would be a perfect time for viewers to meet his family, especially if he does indeed compete in the All Valley Tournament. After all, he will need people to cheer him on.
Cobra Kai Season 3 ended with Daniel and Johnny Lawrence joining forces to take on John Kreese’s Cobra Kai at the All-Valley Tournament. This brought together all of their students, including a redeemed Eli or “Hawk,” who left Kreese after having a change of heart and made amends with Demetri. With the “binary brothers” back together, it’ll be exciting to see what they face next. And with any luck, Gianni DeCenzo will get his wishes in Season 4.
The first three seasons of Cobra Kai are available to stream on Netflix.
