Kim Kardashian’s shapewear line SKIMS got off to a bit of a rough start a few years ago. Originally called Kimono, the brand was called out for cultural appropriation and Kardashian and her husband Kanye West ultimately changed the name of the brand to SKIMS. In the time since, her line of shapewear saw better-than-anticipated growth, including during the Covid-19 pandemic, reportedly pushing 3 million units since it kicked off. But not everyone is a fan of the SKIMS, as one viral TikTok user recently made clear.
TikToker Adria Barich recently put some SKIMS products to the test and she was not particularly pleased with the results. In fact, she put together a video roasting the brand for making her look like “Winnie the Pooh” and comparing herself in the shapewear to the "Pillsbury Doughboy" thanks to its small sizes. She didn't stop there, also declaring it gave her “two more buttcheeks than I started with.”

Later in the video she throws on other types of shapewear that seemingly fit better and she does seem to be comfortable with. Full disclosure, I’ve never tried SKIMS, but I do own the exact pair of those Under Armour shorts TikToker Adria Barich wears at the end of her viral video and I can confirm those are great for glutes day to boot. Just sayin.'
To Kim Kardashian’s credit, many different clothing brands may fit differently and this may be a situation where SKIMS sizes on the small side, making it seem even more ill-fitting than it might be if a person were to size up. Some also made this comment on the viral post, noting their stuff from the Kardashian-created brand fits. Having said this, the TikTok video features a whole slew of takes, with others noting the sizing was way off for them to or that the SKIMS shapewear did not hold up as well as it might have.
Others joked “the shape is apparently supposed to be a busted can of biscuits” and other unflattering comments about how the SKIMS fit alongside the original video, which has racked up well over a million views at this point. Barich later posted another video with her D1 athlete friend to confirm the shapewear is not a good fit.

For her part, Kim Kardashian does have a lot going on right now. She recently wrapped on the final season of Keeping up with the Kardashians, which will likely be doing press soon ahead of the final season. Oh yeah, and there’s that whole “her marriage is imploding” thing going on, though allegedly we may be waiting a bit for Kardashian and Kanye West to officially call it quits. I wouldn’t say she’s too busy to care about any brand critiques or haters right now, but hey, if the SKIMS fit....
