Star Wars has big plans for television in the coming years, and after The Mandalorian Season 2 featured some pretty big cameos from past characters only previously seen in animation, it stands to reason a lot more will be coming. That's what Bo-Katan actress Katee Sackhoff would like anyway, as she's got a specific character from Star Wars: The Clone Wars she'd like to see appear in live-action.
Katee Sackhoff was a featured guest as part of Topps virtual WinterCon (via Comicbook.com) and, as one would imagine, she was asked about The Mandalorian and reprising her role within Star Wars live-action television. In that conversation, Sackhoff mentioned a character she'd like to see appear in live-action, and how their appearance may further shape her character:
Pre Vizsla is an interesting choice because, as mentioned by Katee Sackhoff, he has ties to Bo-Katan and her sister, Satine. Of course, there's a bit of complication in bringing the character back, as he was killed by Darth Maul in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. As Sackhoff mentioned though, Maul has managed to come back from the dead before, so is it crazy to believe Vizsla can't?
While a resurrection feels really unlikely, there's no denying there's now a reason for The Mandalorian to work in a scene or two of flashbacks featuring Pre Vizsla, if only to detail the history of the darksaber. Din Djarin will no doubt be curious about the history of the weapon now that it's in his possession, and he can't just give it away. On top of that, Vizsla represents a complicated and dark part of that story for Mandalorians.
With The Child gone and Din Djarin in possession of the darksaber, it does seem possible that Katee Sackhoff may get her wish. Din's obliviousness to much of what Mandalorians outside his coven did or experienced creates a perfect opportunity for Star Wars to recap these events in live-action. Obviously, Katee Sackhoff couldn't talk about any plans she may or may not know about the stories Star Wars intends to tell. But at the very least, perhaps her desire to see another character appear confirms to fans that someone like Pre Vizsla isn't off the table in the live-action realm.
