Meghan Markle And Prince Harry's Big Oprah Interview Will Reportedly Include A Subtle Tribute To Princess Diana
You don't even have to be much of a royal watcher to know that there's already been a lot said about Oprah's upcoming interview with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The exclusive interview, Oprah with Meghan And Harry: A Primetime Special, was only announced a couple of weeks ago, but many people are already very emotional when it comes to either what might be revealed by the conversation, or by the very fact that the couple has agreed to the sit-down at all. Now, though, we know that there will likely also be some emotions over the interview because of a subtle tribute to Princess Diana.
Whether you're a fan of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle or not, it's quite common to inspect everything they do or say with the eye of a highly skilled detective. Millions of people are already dying to know exactly how much they will share during their talk with Oprah, and while you can probably bet that the conversation will set tongues wagging even more, viewers can also get ready for a small nod to Princess Diana. According to Good Morning America, Markle will be sporting a lovely diamond bracelet which comes from the late Diana's jewelry collection.
Those who watch royal fashion will probably be able to note two things about this particular bracelet. The first is that Princess Diana was seen wearing this special piece at several events shortly before her tragic death in 1997, so she clearly had an attachment to the bracelet, which Prince Harry likely remembers. Secondly, this will not be the first time that this bit of jewelry has been important to Harry and Meghan. The Duchess of Sussex has worn the bracelet before, and was seen doing so during a 2018 trip to Fiji.
This is also the bracelet which Prince Harry had some diamonds removed from in order to make Markle's custom engagement ring in 2017.
We were recently treated to a brief teaser from Oprah with Meghan And Harry: A Primetime Special, and it seems pretty clear that it will be a tense, all-encompassing interview. Oprah says in that clip that nothing was off limits for her, and it's expected that the couple is ready to open up about pretty much every aspect of their lives. This, will, of course, include a lot of conversation with Markle about becoming a part of the royal family, motherhood, marriage, her treatment by the press and the people of England, and how she's been handling the intense public scrutiny.
Prince Harry will also be a huge part of this interview, and many will already know how he's offered public support to his wife as terrible things were said about her in the press. The couple are also fully expected to talk about their decision to leave their duties to the crown behind and move to the United States, which, of course, caused a firestorm of publicity, both negative and empathetic.
All will be revealed when Oprah with Meghan And Harry: A Primetime Special, airs on CBS, Sunday, March 7, at 8 p.m. EST.
