The Flash Boss Wants To Bring Back A Former Arrow Superhero
Although Arrow said its goodbye early last year, it seems not all characters from Star City are gone for good. The Flash, now the longest-running current series in the Arrowverse, had its Season 7 premiere this week and showrunner Eric Wallace admitted he’s trying to get former Arrow superheroes on The Flash.
Eric Wallace told ComicBook.com that they’re working on bringing over Echo Kellum’s Curtis Holt a.k.a. Mr. Terrific, but in a way that is different to his portrayal on Arrow. Wallace said COVID has affected their plans for the season, but explained:
Eric Wallace went on to say he’s also been in talks with Keiynan Lonsdale, known as Wally West a.k.a. Kid Flash on both The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Wallace said that Lonsdale, who is working on a different show, is excited to try and make it work and he’s hoping that Kid Flash will be seen at least once or twice this year.
Echo Kellum first appeared as Curtis Holt on Arrow in Season 4 as a recurring role before being upped to series regular in the fifth, sixth and seventh seasons. Kellum left the series towards the end of Season 7, but appeared in three episodes of the show’s eighth and final season, including the series finale. After his time with Team Arrow as Mr. Terrific was done, Curtis had accepted a new job in Washington, D.C. after he left A.R.G.U.S. following a disagreement over the decision to revive the Suicide Squad under the Ghost Initiative. He later came back to Star City to help Team Arrow track down Emiko Queen and her biological weapon.
Curtis Holt isn’t the only Arrow character whose future could be on The Flash. In fact, John Diggle, played by David Ramsey, will make an appearance in Season 7 of The Flash to continue his storyline that seemingly made it clear that his destiny as the Green Lantern has come to light. Although neither Mr. Terrific visiting Central City nor Diggle becoming Green Lantern are confirmed, seeing two of Star City’s finest heroes back on screen and helping Team Flash would be quite a sight after Arrow’s end over a year ago.
