The WandaVision Finale’s Deleted Scene That I’m Depressed Didn’t Make It Into The Show
The WandaVision finale has come and gone, and fans are likely still thinking about what transpired and what it could mean for the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The final episode was massive, to say the least, and managed to dash a lot of our theories in the process. And with so much going on in the installment, it’s not crazy to think there would be some deleted scenes and, now, director Matt Shakman has confirmed something that didn’t make the cut. Needless to say, I’m a little depressed we didn’t get this one.
With the season (and possibly the series as a whole) having reached its conclusion, Matt Shakman is opening up and discussing what went into that final episode. And during his recent appearance on Kevin Smith’s Fatman Beyond podcast, he revealed to Smith and co-host Marc Bernardin that something big was planned for WandaVision’s furriest character:
Now, this would have been a scary and fun sight to see. If you’re like me, you probably thought there was more to Señor Scratchy than meets the eye. This feeling only increased after Agnes revealed herself to actually be the witch Agatha Harkness. The adorable-looking bunny did, after all, ravenously eat a bug after Agnes threw one towards him.
Matt Shakman went on to say that he was quite pleased with the scene. However, he also explained why it just didn’t make the cut:
WandaVision offered fans plenty of wonderfully weird and surreal moments throughout its run, but having a rabbit transform into a demon and terrorize the characters would have really amped up the show’s creepy vibe. Still, as Matt Shakman pointed out, the episode already had so many other moving pieces that Señor Scratchy’s transformation would have been superfluous.
