How Kylie And Kendall Jenner Reacted To Caitlyn Jenner Appearing On The Masked Singer
Fox's The Masked Singer Season 5 eliminated another contestant, and once again, the singing competition series dropped jaws with an unexpected reveal. The Phoenix was determined to be the first to exit the competition from Group B, and when the mask came off, everyone but Jenny McCarthy was stunned that Caitlyn Jenner was hiding beneath the mask.dddd
Caitlyn Jenner apparently had quite a blast in her time on The Masked Singer, even if her run didn't go nearly as long as she hoped. Speaking to Us Weekly about her decision to join the series in Season 5, Jenner shared how her children Kylie and Kendall Jenner reacted to the news.
Caitlyn Jenner had grand plans had her Masked Singer run as The Phoenix continued, and she expressed specific disappointment that she wasn't able to perform The Temptations song "I Know You Want To Leave Me." Instead, she sang Kesha's "Tik Tok" for her first and only performance, and was ultimately the first elimination from the second set of masked celebs. Jenner said she also learned a John Denver song ahead of the performance, but didn't get a chance to break that one out either.
While her run on The Masked Singer was short, there was a positive that Caitlyn Jenner got out of the experience, in that she spent some quality time with her son Brandon. Jenner explained that he served as her coach in the weeks that led up to the performance, and the two grew closer because of it. According to Jenner:
Now that Caitlyn Jenner's time on The Masked Singer is up, she said she'd like to get back to traveling the nation and continuing to tell her story to fans and beyond. Meanwhile, Season 5 of The Masked Singer will continue its run and probably reveal a few more surprise celebrities along the way. I'm not sure any of them will top Kermit The Frog, but who knows?
The Masked Singer airs on Fox Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET. As a fan since Season 1, Season 5 has already kicked off as potentially the best season yet in this franchise as a whole. For those who haven't checked it out yet, be sure to catch up by reading some of the changes made for the series this year.
