Even though comedian / actor Pete Davidson has been making folks laugh for many years now on Saturday Night Live, he's received almost as much attention for his dating life during a large portion of his tenure on that long-running TV staple. Now, fans are convinced that Davidson has taken up with new star Phoebe Dynevor of Bridgerton fame, and here's what has them so sure that Davidson and Dynevor are doing the twosome tango.
It's been an intriguing few days for Pete Davidson, as just last week he had to dispel rumors that he'd gotten married, and then had the woman he'd supposedly wed find her way into his home illegally. Now his fans are all atwitter over rumors that he's found himself a new lady love, in the form of Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor. Word of this alleged romance took hold when Page Six noted that each of the stars have recently been in the other's hometown.
On Sunday, Davidson was spotted across the pond in the U.K., but not in London or any other random city. A fan saw him out and about in Altrincham, Greater Manchester, snapped a photo and posted the picture to Facebook. To most it would seem that Davidson has just taken a random trip, but Phoebe Dynevor's fans may know that she's spent some of her quarantine time with her mom, actress Sally Dynevor, who just so happens to live in Manchester.
In addition to this sighting of Pete Davidson in Phoebe Dynevor's territory, she was also in New York recently. It was just in early February that Dynevor posted some lovely sight-seeing photos from a trip to Brooklyn on her Instagram, and it appears that she was in town to work on her part in the TV Land series, Younger, where she's played Clare since 2017. If you're thinking, though, that two seemingly disparate stars simply being in the the other's home city at, possibly, the same time doesn't seem like much of a connection to claim that they're dating, I understand where you're coming from. But, it means you've forgotten another piece of this potentially romantic puzzle.
If you think back just a few weeks to what was happening on SNL, it might spur your memory. No luck? OK, on February 20, Episode 13 of Season 36 of SNL aired, and it featured first time guest host Regé-Jean Page. Ahhh, yes! Now you're getting it! Page is, of course, Dynevor's Bridgerton co-star, who helped her set the world aflame with that Taylor Swift-scored sex scene which was drooled over around the world. So, a lot of fans believe that it's not impossible that Davidson and Dynevor met through Page, while he was working on SNL, and the two hit it off.
Pete Davidson and Phoebe Dynevor have yet to be seen or photographed together, but if they really are dating, that might happen sooner, rather than later, considering Davidson's very public relationships so far. Aside from that, is this all a bit convoluted? Sure! But, just let people have this, OK? There is so little to be consistently happy about, and a new romance between people we like could be one of those things! We're all taking whatever we can get right now, so let's just wait and see if these two have something to go public with soon.
