Sometimes when you split from your longterm partner and the father of your four kids, you need a little rest and relaxation. Or at least, that’s what Goop head honcho Gwyneth Paltrow seemingly posited when she recently sent Kim Kardashian a bag full of goodies following her big split from Kanye West. And because I know you’re curious: Yes, Kardashian did get one of Goop’s famous vagina candles.
Recently, Kim Kardashian West did what she does best, taking to her Instagram Stories to share the notable gifts she’d gotten from Gwyneth Paltrow including a custom candle called “This Smells Like Kim’s Orgasm.” They all came in a box described as “Kim’s Box of Tricks.” Take a look.
The candle in question is from Goop’s partnership with the brand Heretic. It’s made news on several occasions due to a. Being a candle that’s all about the vagina and b. Being a candle that allegedly once exploded in a home. Nécessaire’s Sex Gel and a vibrator were also a part of the very notable package. While the package didn’t expressly say it was for Kim Kardashian as she’s dealing with her divorce, the implication is pretty clear.
Kim Kardashian and Gwyneth Paltrow also had a nice exchange over the package. The Keeping up with the Kardashians star also took to her Instagram Stories to thank Gwyneth Paltrow for the gifts, and she seemingly can’t wait to try em, jokingly noting,
I’ve never been more excited honestly … for the candle. Thank you, Gwyneth, I love you. Thanks Goop.
Paltrow responded, telling Kim K. she “loved” her more. It's a win-win situation for both stars, as Paltrow got free publicity for her famous candles and Kim K. got some free products herself. Though it's worth noting that Gwyneth Paltrow is no stranger to what Kim Kardashian is currently going through, having split from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in 2015 (finalized in 2016). She’s now married to prominent producer Brad Falchuk and her ex is with Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson. They allegedly all hang out and meet for Sunday dinners at times. So, splits can get better.
Hopefully at some point, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West can get back to friendlier times, though recent reports have indicated there’s no direct communication between the couple as they work out the details of their high-profile split (and are still trying to co-parent without direct communication). As a single woman, she’s allegedly been enjoying her downtime and a slew of “Girls nights.” Sounds like Kim’s Box of Tricks may have come at a good time.
