Why 90 Day Fiance's New Tell-All Preview Has Us Really Confused About Mike And Natalie's Relationship
Warning! The following contains spoilers for the April 4 episode of 90 Day Bares All. Read at your own risk!
90 Day Fiancé wrapped up its central storylines with Season 8's latest episode, which means the big tell-all is just around the corner. Fans were treated to a sneak preview of the upcoming special on the latest 90 Day Bares All, in which we saw Andrew Kenton storm off the set after Amira Lollysa refused to engage him directly in conversation. That bit of drama was interesting, but not quite as unexpected as what I noticed about Natalie Mordovtseva and Mike Youngquist in the preview.
Fans who keep current with spoiler-filled 90 Day Fiancé updates have no doubt heard the recent murmurs about Mike and Natalie splitting up, which was seemingly confirmed by Mike's uncle Beau. According to the family member, Natalie had not been living in the house for "a couple of months," which was reported on March 25th. Pictures of the 90 Day Fiancé Season 8 cast in Los Angeles popped up on February 24th, so it's believed that the tell-all special was filmed around this time period. According to Uncle Beau, the couple would've been a non-couple at that point, but as the clip showed, they'll be sitting together on the same couch, with Mike's arm draped around Natalie's shoulder.
From the looks of it, Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovtseva appeared to be very much together. And unless they were aces at faking it, their closeness throws some doubt on Uncle Beau's timeline that fans have been running with. At the very least, it doesn't appear as if they'd split when the tell-all filmed, so perhaps something controversial from the special directly led them to separate very soon afterward.
Another theory is that Mike and Natalie aren't really separated at all, and this could all be a ploy meant to drum up interest from fans to convince TLC to sign the duo for another season. While I hate to be a skeptic on couples presenting truthful storylines in their personal lives, there's something very strange about Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovtseva's relationship right now. For example, even though they have allegedly been separated after being married for less than a year, Natalie is apparently still in the U.S. as of her latest Instagram posts.
Additionally, neither Mike nor Natalie have ever confirmed a break-up on social media. And while it's not weird for significant others to avoid appearing together after being separated, there is something a little strange about Mike posting this redacted Easter greeting to folks that completely masked his location when it seems clear Natalie is not currently in Washington.
I can only speculate about what's currently happening with Mike Youngquist and Natalie Mordovtseva, but I feel relatively sure the current narrative that 90 Day Fiancé fans have been working with is shaky at best. (Sorry, Uncle Beau.) Plus, after seeing how quickly these couples go from lovey to angry and back to lovey on social media, I'm inclined not to believe anything is completely over until one or both of them says it is. Perhaps the truth is somewhere in the middle, and certain family members only had part of the story?
