Watch John Cena Hilariously Get Challenged By Wrestler Contestant In New Wipeout Clip

Wipeout is back and better than ever on TBS, as hosts John Cena and Nicole Byer keep the laughs rolling when the hits on contestants are just too gruesome to watch. With that said, a recent clip showed that Cena stopped chuckling at the expense of others after he got called out by one in this exclusive clip.

Two Wipeout contestants make up the team Sister Smash in a new episode of the obstacle course competition series and, based on their name alone, readers can assume they kick ass. One is an MMA fighter, while the other is a wrestler, which obviously has a connection to John Cena. After the team completed their first course, Amira was asked by Camille Kostek if she had anything to say to Cena and, without missing a beat, she said the following.

Train me or fight me.

John Cena was presented with two options and, as we saw in the clip, he chose a third and fled the scene. It looks like the living WWE legend didn't want an "attitude adjustment" from Amira, which isn't surprising given their sub-9-minute run of the first course. Just to survive a Wipeout course is accomplishment enough, but to do it that fast? Those are some real badasses.

Obviously, the whole bit was all in good fun, though I can't imagine John Cena offering up wrestling training to anyone in the business these days. He's looking pretty comfy in his hosting gig on Wipeout, and with his movie career still rolling, he's been a little too busy for the world of WWE. So busy that he wasn't able to make an appearance at Wrestlemania 37 as he was filming for his upcoming Peacemaker series for HBO Max.

All that aside, the banter between hosts and contestants is one of the things I've really enjoyed about the revitalized Wipeout. There's definitely a cheeseball element to some of the show's comedy, but it definitely helps lighten things up when someone gets the absolute lights punched out of them (or worse) whilst running an obstacle course. I'm not sure if it was just because I felt invincible watching the show when I was younger, but watching as an adult makes me realize that's one game show I would under no circumstances want to be a part of. If someone extended me an invitation to compete, chances are I'd go wide-eyed and drive off just like John Cena did in that clip!

Wipeout airs on TBS on Thursday nights at 9:00 p.m. ET. Those with a bloodlust that stops just short of the blood would definitely enjoy it, along with the witty banter of Nicole Byer and John Cena. Speaking of the latter, read up on the absolutely kooky thing the pro wrestler-turned-actor has been doing as of late, for reasons we can't really understand.
