Change is certainly imminent for Kim Kardashian. The final season of her family's long-running reality series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, is airing. She is also in the midst of divorce proceedings from husband Kanye West. So of course, in a need to switch gears, Kardashian has gone where many great women have gone before – blonde.
The reality star is known for changing up her look every now and again. Her platinum hair in 2017 shorted a lot of circuits online but, for the most part, she sticks with her natural brown color. Yet Kim Kardashian’s new blonde locks seems to agree with most people who view 2021 as a time to release the difficulties of the past with a big change. Going blonde is definitely a process, but Kim Kardashian was willing to power through it. So what's the final result? Well, here's your look:
The results are rather drastic, but it appears it may not be permanent as of yet. In fact, it’s likely just a wig. Other women who’ve made the bold switch to blonde before would note that it is very unusual to dye your natural hair blonde and make the roots slightly darker. Clearly though, Kardashian showed the proof that her eyebrows were actually lightened.
You need only look to Kim Kardashian’s other more recent social media posts to be convinced that her blonde was a temporary phase. One shows her golfing in her signature brown hair, another in a yet-again gravity-defying dress. Regardless, Kardashian was downright unrecognizable in the recent blonde transformation. If I passed her on the street, I wouldn’t even have thought to ask this seemingly random woman for an autograph.
Hopefully, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star got some fun out of being blonde, though, because the speculation about her divorce from Kanye West only increases. Just recently, a pic snafu involving West seemed to imply that the rapper was still hoping to work things out by wearing his wedding ring. But turns out DJ Khaled’s pic was pre-divorce.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s apparent issues were only briefly alluded to in an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians a few weeks ago. But there hasn’t been any mention yet of divorce or indeed even an appearance by West in the reality show’s final season. Just from what we saw then, however, it seemed like Kardashian was incredibly stressed about her marriage and even described being in her relationship as needing to have “thick skin.”
Hindsight is always 20/20, though, right? Kim Kardashian's social media posts can give the impression that life is one big vacation or thirst trap. Sounds better than life as one big social media faux pas after the next. In closing, keep the blonde, Kim, but don’t get the bangs under any circumstances.
