How Big Brother's Rachel Reilly Would Like To Return To The Game
Rachel Reilly Villegas has been a real superstar for CBS over the years with multiple appearances across The Amazing Race and, of course, Big Brother. Fans of the latter series have been clamoring for her return ever since she revealed she was invited to be a part of the latest Big Brother All-Stars, but CBS wouldn't let her compete while pregnant. Now the Season 13 winner has shared her recent thoughts on the chances of a return and how she would like it to happen.
Rachel Reilly Villegas was asked during a recent Instagram Stories Q&A about the odds of her returning to Big Brother, and the former houseguest shared her interest in the much-proposed fan concept of Big Brother Legends. It turns out longtime fans aren't the only ones who want to see the iconic players from the past battle it out.
Big Brother Legends is an interesting concept, though not one I'd imagine CBS is looking to make happen anytime soon. The network just aired the second installment of Big Brother All-Stars, and there was no shortage of complaints from fans on how dull the season was. On a note that may be related, Big Brother confirmed early Season 23 would have an entirely new cast of houseguests, which could've been because of fans' reactions to Season 22.
It also means that Rachel Reilly Villegas and her husband and former Big Brother houseguest Brendon Villegas won't be a part of Season 23. With that said, her comments suggest that it's not so much a question of whether she'd return to Big Brother, but when it may happen.
Rachel Reilly Villegas' daughter, Adora Borealis Villegas, is currently 5. Given that, it could be a long time before we see either of them on Big Brother. In the meantime, I know she has been campaigning to be on Survivor, which would mark the third CBS reality series she'd have participated in if selected. In the meantime, I'm hoping to see her return to Big Brother if only to keep floaters in check and stir up some much-needed chaos that was missing last year.
Big Brother Season 23 is set to premiere on CBS Wednesday, July 7 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Continue to count down the days until its premiere with CinemaBlend, as we update fans on what's up with former houseguests in the meantime. For example, read up on Janelle Pierzina's concerning update she posted and how she's on the mend after a hospitalization.
