Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are very much in love, as can be seen via their consistent posts, comments, heart emojis (and even tattoos) about each other that have been plastered all over social media. The two famous names have the support of close friends and die-hard fans, who appear to enjoy the somewhat mismatched couple together. But how does Kourtney's ex Scott Disick feel about their relationship?
Reportedly, though, Kardashian’s ex Scott Disick doesn’t feel quite the same about her relationship. The rise and fall of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick’s own saga permeated the first few seasons of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, before their ultimate split in 2015. So it’s been a few years since, and both have moved onto new partners. Kardashian is with Travis Barker and Disick with Amelia Hamlin. Given what we've seen on the final season of the reality series, it's not necessarily a huge surprise that sources indicated to E! Online that Disick is supposedly “hurt” by the romance with Barker. They said,
[Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker] are so beyond obsessed with each other. Scott hasn't hung out in a big family setting with Kourtney and Travis yet. He's still a little skeptical of their relationship and hurt by it.
The source also claimed that Scott Disick felt “awkward” about his ex’s new relationship. It isn’t made exactly clear why Disick might feel this way, although given their past troubles and some of the conversations the former couple had about potentially getting back together in recent KUWTK history, it's not a huge shock. Then again, Travis Barker was always good friends with the Kardashian-Jenners, even during the time of Disick and Kourtney Kardashian were still together and Scott Disick has seemingly moved on with Amelia Hamlin. Both Kardashian and Disick have had notable other relationships apart in recent years as well, including Disick infamously dating Sofia Richie before they split.
Scott Disick isn’t the only one skeptical about Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s relationship. Almost as soon as it came to light, Barker’s ex-wife slammed the Kardashian sisters, saying Kim cheated with Barker when he was married to her and Kourtney somehow contributed to her estrangement with her kids. Kim Kardashian recently shut down the cheating allegations herself, but Kourtney has yet to comment on any of the drama.
Still, it isn't too far-fetched that Scott Disick might be “hurt” by Kourtney Kardashian’s new relationship. The two do share four kids and have managed to parlay a pretty good friendship and co-parenting relationship over the years – and the same cannot be said of others in their family. In a recent episode of the final Keeping Up With the Kardashians season, Kardashian and Disick made light of the idea of the two ever getting married. However, Disick at one point also said on the show to Kardashian:
It's my insecurity then I feel like that I just don't like seeing you with another guy. It hurt me when you were with somebody else and like waking up to looking at pictures of you with this guy you were dating...It just made me upset and sad...but the big fear is, if you start dating again, then it goes back to that.
That was then. Nowadays, 38-year-old Scott Disick has a lot to contend with in his own newfound relationship with 19-year-old Amelia Hamlin. Many people have criticized the age difference between the two, even the ladies of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, starring Hamlin’s mother Lisa Rinna. E! Online’s source says, however, that “it’s not weird” at all for Kourtney Kardashian to see Disick with Hamlin.
The relationship dynamics for the Kardashian-Jenners are certainly complicated ones. But with the end of Keeping Up With the Kardashians fast approaching, the speculation will likely live on in the family’s new series on Hulu. A dinner between Travis Barker, Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick and Amelia Hamlin sure sounds awkward to me...
