Rumors were swirling for months that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were on the rocks prior to the report in February that she was filing for divorce. Now, it seems the grace period of not dating anyone else post-divorce might be up for the two. Because the rumors are indicating that West is already moving on with someone new.
Following his split from Kim Kardashian, the “Flashing Lights” rapper is supposedly dating model Irina Shayk, according to DeuxMoi (via The Sun). Shayk shares a 4-year-old daughter with actor Bradley Cooper, who she separated from back in 2019. It is believed that West and Shayk have always been close, considering she has been featured in his “Power” music video and walked in his fashion shows. However, neither has confirmed the validity of the rumors.
But if it is true that Kanye West is already dating only three months after the initial divorce filing, which technically is still in mediation, it would certainly add fuel to some other speculation about what their issues were. It was shown earlier in this last season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians that Kim was struggling with West’s social media tirades last year. But other reports indicate that West had been wanting out of the relationship first and for a while. Dating a younger supermodel so soon after the split would seem like a hint that West is not harping on his marriage to Kardashian.
The rumors about Kanye West dating another woman broke just ahead of Kim Kardashian finally speaking about their rocky relationship on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Kardashian was seen lashing out against her sisters on the show and crying about a “big fight” she had with West. Kardashian would eventually say:
I just think he deserves someone who will support his every move and go follow him all over the place and move to Wyoming. I can’t do that. He should have a wife that supports his every move and travels with him and does everything, and I can’t. I feel like a fucking failure. It’s my third fucking marriage. Yeah, I feel like a fucking loser. But I can’t even think about that. I want to be happy.
This is a stark departure from what fans have seen of the two in this season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Kim Kardashian mostly avoided talking about him on camera, though she did briefly share West’s supportive response about the decision to end the reality show after 20 seasons.
Nonetheless, Kanye West could very well be dating no one at all. Similar speculation has been non-stop concerning who Kim Kardashian may or may not be dating. Since her split from West, she herself has been linked to the likes of CNN commentator Van Jones. One Succession star even appeared to be shooting his shot for the reality star, but it turned out to be a little satire on celebrity dating obsession.
Alas, moving on after a divorce is part of even regular people’s lives. Kim Kardashian is doing so by posting thirst traps, beating back old cheating rumors, and studying to become a lawyer. Meanwhile, Kanye West is (possibly) dating -- and delaying the release of his next studio album.
