The Big Loki Mystery That Tom Hiddleston Says Will 'Become Clear' In The Disney+ Show
Despite having been an MCU staple for a decade, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki still has viewers guessing about what his next moves and thoughts will be. So his upcoming self-titled, Disney+ series may answer any questions they may have. But ahead of the series premiere, Hiddleston may have hinted at a huge reveal for Marvel fans, as he's promising that a big Loki mystery will become clearer in the Disney+ series.
As the Thor franchise has repeatedly shifted hands behind the scenes over the years, Tom Hiddleston has remained a consistent player. That means his knowledge of the Marvel trickster runs deep, thanks to his previous performances as the character. So his teases regarding a big reveal are sure to spark even more excitement for the upcoming Disney+ show. During a press conference attended by CinemaBlend and other news outlets, the Loki star had this to say when it came to an iconic piece of the character’s look:
As Tom Hiddleston alluded to, not much is known about Loki’s headpiece other than the fact that it's been the character's signature look since his introduction and that it may or may not hold some magical significance. It will be nice to see the upcoming show explore the true meaning and purpose behind the iconic Marvel headwear. Hopefully, Loki’s horns receive as much attention as Thor's hammer, Mjölnir, has received.
But Loki’s headpiece isn’t the only thing that will be explored within the upcoming MCU show. Head writer Michael Waldron has been vocal about how deeply he wanted to explore the character, and he's revealed that the show will explore Loki's struggle with identity. Let's be honest, Loki always seems to be ten steps ahead of everyone else, but he's never fully been in control during some of the biggest moments of his life.
Of course, there are plenty of other secrets that are currently surrounding the show. There have been hints that Loki will have ties to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, though an actual cameo from the character would be even more appreciated since the WandaVision one was scrapped.. There might be even more on the horizon for the series, as Tom Hiddleston may have added some fuel to those Season 2 rumors. But rumors aside, Loki is still shaping up to be a big payoff for both Hiddleston and Marvel fans.
Getting even a small glimpse into Loki’s background will be great for any Marvel fan wanting to know more. If you want to see Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief in action, you can see him in Marvel's Loki when it hits Disney+ on June 9. The MCU show is just the latest in a line of Marvel television series planned out for the next few years.
