Following A Lot Of Show Cancellations, A Million Little Things Actually Just Got Some Extra Great News
With the renewal and cancellation season being harsh this year, many shows didn’t get the usual episode count for their seasons, meaning that if they got canned by a network, that would be that. The renewal and cancellations are winding down and following multiple disappointments for other shows, ABC’s A Million Little Things just got some great news.
A Million Little Things was renewed for a fourth season by ABC last month and following the Season 3 finale, series creator and executive producer DJ Nash reveals even more news about the drama. Talking to Deadline, Nash previews what to expect from the upcoming fourth season:
The first season of the ABC drama had just 17 episodes, while there were 19 in Season 2 and 18 in Season 3. With the big episode order, DJ Nash seems confident that the network isn’t letting A Million Little Things go after Season 4. The creator also has a final six-episode arc mapped out for when the time comes that the show does end, meaning that he is ready for just about anything.
Due to COVID-19, A Million Little Things had to do things a little differently for Season 3, even following that cliffhanger from the Season 2 finale. Not only did the series have to cut back on episodes, but Floriana Lima, who plays Darcy, spoke to CinemaBlend last year and revealed how hard it was switching between herself and Darcy while wearing a mask on set. While the TV and film industry met some new challenges this season with the pandemic, A Million Little Things’ third season seemingly went off without a hitch and they are planning to come back bigger than ever for Season 4.
Season 3 of A Million Little Things has been a lot, especially after what Lizzy Greene’s Sophie has gone through following her traumatic experience. Meanwhile, the season finale ended on yet another shocking cliffhanger involving James Roday Rodriguez’s Gary and Andrew Leeds’ Peter that will no doubt have consequences when Season 4 premieres.
As you wait for the supersized fourth season of A Million Little Things, which is expected to premiere this fall on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on ABC, all three seasons are streaming on Hulu.
