How Kim Kardashian Allegedly Feels About Kanye West’s Reported New Romance Amid Divorce
Keeping Up With the Kardashians just ended after a 20-season long stint on E!, but the ups and downs of the Kardashians and Jenners’ personal lives are still highly speculated on. The most notable of late is that Kim Kardashian’s soon-to-be ex-husband, Kanye West, has been spotted with the likes of model Irina Shayk. The two were reportedly in France this week for his birthday, leading many to assume that the rapper has settled with a new girlfriend only months after their divorce was filed. And supposedly, the SKIMS entrepreneur has some feelings about the reported romance.
For many, the idea of one’s ex-husband not waiting even a year before jumping into a new relationship might be hurtful. For Kim Kardashian though, it might not be the worst thing that Kanye West is reportedly dating again. A source for ET Online claims:
Kim Kardashian has said as much about her own happiness in the last few episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. She revealed that she didn’t like living in a different than Kanye West, who takes up residence in Wyoming, and needs someone she has more in common with. At one point in an episode, Kardashian told her mom Kris Jenner, “I didn’t come this far… to come this far and not be happy.” So it’s very probable that Kardashian only hopes for the same happiness for the father of her four kids, even if the timing of his supposed new romance seems a bit harsh to some of us.
Despite the rumors constantly circulating about what their issues were that prompted their divorce, Kim Kardashian has been showing support for Kanye West via social media. She subtly posed with some Yeezy slides after the news of their divorce broke and even posted pics on Instagram (amidst the hoopla about Irina Shayk) of their whole family together with the sweet caption, “Happy Birthday Love U for Life!” It’s obvious then that, at least publicly, Kardashian wants to move forward with positivity as the divorce proceedings continue.
The same might not be able to be said about Kanye West. Kim Kardashian is putting on a strong, united media front, meanwhile Page Six reported that West recently unfollowed Kardashian and all her sisters on social media. West’s accounts have been pretty much defunct since his failed bid for presidency last year, but there's a chance the unfollow move might hint at more animosity than Kardashian is letting on.
Keeping Up With the Kardashians ended on an emotional and sentimental high, but one that Kanye West wasn’t part of. The rapper notably disliked being filmed for the reality show and was supportive of the family’s decision to end things after 14 years. Reports also indicated that, even though Kim Kardashian filed for their divorce, West was looking for a out way beforehand.
Perhaps there will be more insight into Kim Kardashian’s feelings on dating post-divorce, for her and Kanye West, during the two-part Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion special, which airs June 20 on E!.
