Is Jarrod Schulz Done With Storage Wars After Charges Following Domestic Incident With Ex Brandi Passante?
Storage Wars Season 13 wrapped its run on A&E just a few weeks ago, but amidst all of the drama at the auctions, there’s been personal drama between two of the longtime reality show’s TV personalities, as well. Back in April, Storage Wars star Jarrod Schulz was charged on 1 count of misdemeanor domestic violence battery against his ex, other Storage Wars star Brandi Passante. Is he done with the show for good now?
Back in April, Jarrod Schulz and Brandi Passante allegedly got into an altercation at a bar in Orange County, CA. Things got heated and Passante allegedly asked Shulz to leave after which an altercation reportedly occurred, with Schulz allegedly pushing his ex twice. It’s worth noting that the longtime couple had quietly split two years ago. More recently, it had been revealed on Storage Wars that the two are no longer a couple, though their always tiff-y banter on-screen remained intact during the most recent set of episodes, which bowed on May 25th.
Both Brandi Passante and Jarrod Schulz had filmed Season 13 of Storage Wars when the alleged altercation and subsequent charge took place. Schulz had left the scene when police had showed up on the day of the altercation, so he was later charged for the incident. Reports have now indicated that A&E caught wind of the incident and launched an investigation into what happened and whether Schulz should still be involved with the show, per TMZ. But that’s not all.
Separately, Jarrod Schulz is not a huge social media user and had seemingly been laying low after the press related to the domestic incident. However, this week, he did post a first-look image at himself and his new girlfriend on a relaxing trip over the weekend to his Instagram.
As Season 13 was airing, he had also put up a post about the latest set of episodes, a post which was later deleted, per TV Shows Ace. However, if you’re perusing his Instagram to check out his recent vacation post, you may notice the last references to Storage Wars came years ago. Most of his social media is instead devoted to the Rush Bar and Grill, which Shulz took over ownership of in 2019 and may even provide a good exit strategy from reality television if needed.
Previous reports indicated that having both Brandi Passante and Jarrod Schulz on set filming Storage Wars after they ultimately split had been “messy” even before the publicly noted altercation. Now that charges have been brought against Schulz, it may be the catalyst the show needed to go in a different direction with its cast. It’s worth noting that A&E hasn’t even signed on for Storage Wars Season 14 officially yet. However, the show has been running fairly consistently on the cabler since 2010, so a renewal seems likely.
We’ll keep you updated on the show’s status, as well as Jarrod Schulz’s. In the meantime, see what’s headed to TV this summer with our full summer TV schedule.
