After rumors of marital problems with husband Kanye West, it was reported in February that the reality TV star had filed for divorce after six years. In the midst of the divorce proceedings, the two are living separately but have found a way to co-parent their four children. West is also allegedly back in the dating game, but what about Kardashian? Well, new reports allege that she’s not so eager to start dating again.
Kanye West is believed to be dating model Irina Shayk, with the two initially being linked earlier this month. While neither has confirmed this, comments from insiders and recently-surfaced photos seem to suggest that the two are indeed together. And if reports are to be believed, Kim Kardashian is actually “happy” for her soon-to-be-ex husband. But a recent rumor would also suggest that it was Kardashian’s romance with West that makes her hesitant to rejoin the dating pool:
She’s not focused on dating at the moment but actually worries that guys will not want to date her because of how public her relationship was with Kanye.
It’s true that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s romance and subsequent marriage were the source of heavy media coverage over the last several years. This attention arguably increased once the divorce rumors set in. There’s also the fact that their issues were lightly covered during the final season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Us Weekly’s insider went on to allege that it’s going to take some time for Kardashian to forge a relationship with another partner:

Having been friends with Kanye West for years before they got married, Kim Kardashian was already pretty close to the rapper and business mogul when things got romantic. Their intimate knowledge of each other’s personalities could also be the reason why the source alleges that Kardashian was surprised by West’s reported romance. However, it sounds like she may have some support on her end:
She certainly did not think that Kanye would move on with someone else before her. Friends and family are telling her she has nothing to worry about and when she’s ready to date again, they gladly will be setting her up with potential suitors.
The assertion that Kim Kardashian has support from those close to her matches up with previous reports. Allegedly, Kardashian has been hanging out with her girlfriends during her down time. And as evidenced by her social media accounts, she’s also been spending plenty of time with her kids, vacationing and celebrating holidays as a family.
Romance is something that’s not uncommon when it comes to the Kardashian-Jenner family. For instance, oldest sibling Kourtney Kardashian is currently dating Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, while sister Khloe is reportedly in the midst of another breakup with Tristan Thompson. If anything, it’s more unusual for a Kardashian not to be dating. We’ll see how much time passes before Kim Kardashian is with another suitor.
