The cast members of Selling Sunset are prone to lighthearted competition when it comes to real estate and a little bit of drama on the side. Most of it is the ever-changing dynamics in their professional and personal relationships. Well, in the midst of our ongoing wait for Season 4 to arrive on Netflix, Chrishell Stause has confirmed a budding romance with one of her twin bosses. At least this time, her castmates’ thoughts all seem to be in agreement about it.
Chrishell Stause posted several pictures on Instagram of what looks like a Selling Sunset cast vacation in Capri, Italy. In the last of the series, Stause is seen cuddling with and kissing none other than Jason Oppenheim – her boss at the infamous Oppenheim Group. Check them out below:
The Selling Sunset star had captioned the post with “the JLo effect,” a seeming reference to Bennifer’s relationship going Instagram official on a yacht. Well, I’m as equally surprised by Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim as I am by Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. However, their Selling Sunset castmates don't seem surprised in the slightest. Jason’s brother and Stause’s other boss Brett Oppenheim commented,
Love you Chrishell. Thank you for making my brother happy.
Jason Oppenheim told People that they are “very happy together.” Now the only question remains: how long has the relationship with Chrishell Stause been making her boss happy? You couldn't tell they were in a relationship in Selling Sunset’s last season. But then again, Stause has been in the interim of divorcing This Is Us star Justin Hartley after two years of marriage, which was reportedly only just finalized in February. Perhaps fans should have seen this coming, given how Oppenheim had dated another employee and castmate in Mary Fitzgerald, years prior.
Most Selling Sunset fans, though, had been too busy stanning Mary Fitzgerald and Jason Oppenheim’s rapport to consider he had anything with Chrishell Stause. Fitzgerald ended up marrying Romain Bonnet in 2018, dashing hopes of a renewed relationship with Oppenheim. But in Stause’s post, Bonnet managed to joke about the awkward insinuations about his wife, now that Stause and Oppenheim are together:
So happy for you guys ! Finally people will stop with Jason and Mary hopefully
So far as we know from Selling Sunset, Mary Fitzgerald and Jason Oppenheim share joint custody of their dog and, beyond that, they are merely good friends and coworkers, not to mention castmates. (Apparently, she is also friends with ousted Real Housewives star Braunwyn Windham-Burke.) Fitzgerald joined in the onslaught of love over their Selling Sunset co-stars’ relationship, saying,
Nothing makes me more excited than to see two of my closest friends together and making each other so happy!
Other Selling Sunset castmates made their support known on Chrishell Stause’s post. Heather Rae Young, who is engaged to Flip or Flop star Tarek el Moussa, said, “aweeeeeee yay yay.” Castmate Amanza Smith wrote,
love you both! So happy it’s out!! Ahhhh we can all just be normal now! Happy!!!! Makes me sooooo happy for you both!!
Amanza Smith’s comment that the Selling Sunset cast is able to “be normal now” implies a certain level of secrecy about the relationship. Whether the secrecy was for Chrishell Stause and Jason Openeimer or the show’s sake remains unclear.
The recently Emmy-nominated Selling Sunset was renewed for two more seasons. When that will materialize exactly is about a good guess as when Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim’s relationship really started.
