There are sure to be dozens upon dozens (upon dozens) of hot takes and reactions about the many Olympic events going down in Tokyo right now, many of which probably take an oddball look at some of the sports. But, there's one show that you can always count on to give viewers some amazingly off-the-wall responses, and that would be the one hosted by Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg. Now, the Peacock hosts have weighed in on an equestrian event, and their reaction to this fancy Olympics horse is definitely an A+.
Olympic Highlights with Kevin Hart & Snoop Dogg sees the comedian / movie star and hit-making rapper discuss Olympic events, play games, and interview important figures from the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. We already saw how wild the duo can get when they interviewed shirtless flag-bearer sensation, Pita Taufatofua, and now they've turned their attention to a super fancy horse who competed in an equestrian event. OOOOHHH, BOOOYYY! Who could have guessed that any reaction to a horse doing its dressage thing would ever be as excited and enjoyable as this? To be honest, I've watched some dressage events, just because I find them peaceful, seeing as how the commentators nearly whisper when talking about the sport. It never would have occurred to me that anyone could be this happy about watching an event they had literally no stake in, but therein lies the beauty of Snoop Dogg and Kevin Hart talking about the Olympics.
The best lines of the whole clip have to be, "This horse is off the chain! I gotta get this mutha fucker in a video!" Thanks Snoop. You've made my Monday!
So, with the acknowledgement that "horse crip-walking is officially in the Olympics," Kevin Hart and Snoop Dog then moved on to another important aspect of this clip, with both wondering aloud how this horse even got to Tokyo. Obviously, as two people who have to spend a lot of time on airplanes for work, they knew flying was involved, but their shocked responses when they were told that at least some of the animals were flown via Emirates really takes the cake. Apparently, Emirates is a very expensive airline, even by Dogg / Hart standards, which must be pretty high, and both were stunned that the horses get to fly better airlines than the athletes.
Of course, their outrage only grew when Snoop inquired about horses getting medals if they win their events. When they both realize that the rider is gifted the medal, and the horse gets nothing, they were basically as horrified as someone could get at hearing that horses don't get to brag to their horse friends about winning Olympic events by showing off the (presumably giant) medals around their horse necks. As Snoop pointed out, the rider just "sat on the mutha fucker and went for the ride," so let's get these amazing crip-walking champions some medals, Olympic organizers, OK?!
