A lot goes down on Bravo's Below Deck: throuples, hookups, crazy guest demands and even physical altercations. With its eclectic groups of stewardesses and deckies mixed with high-rolling clientele, the reality show puts a modern, juicy spin on the classic upstairs/downstairs, Downton Abbey conceit. But I guess when you can't beat ‘em, you join ‘em. Because one Below Deck: Mediterranean alum supposedly left behind the yachty world to actually be a guest on a yacht, as one of JLo and Ben Affleck’s entourage.
Fans remember Lauren Cohen from her one-season arc on Season 2 of Below Deck: Mediterranean. So much so that they apparently were able to spot her in a 15-second TikTok video circulating, which features JLo and Ben Affleck’s crew on the streets of Capri, Italy. Cohen is supposedly seen tagging behind the iconic Bennifer couple, carrying shopping bags and pushing eager fans away, which has led many to assume she has taken on the role of JLo's personal assistant. According to Metro UK sources, Below Deck’s Lauren Cohen has apparently confirmed the switch in career choices. What's more is that on her private Instagram account, she allegedly had recent posts from St. Tropez that noted she was celebrating her boss’s birthday. Coincidentally, JLo has been busy celebrating her 52nd birthday, alongside Ben Affleck, on a yacht in the same area. (Her ex Alex Rodriguez and even Netflix’s Selling Sunset cast weren’t too far away, either.)
If true, then kudos to Lauren Cohen. In Below Deck: Mediterranean's notorious second season, Cohen was pulled in a lot of romantic directions, namely with co-star Bobby Giancola. But she also got into a spat with alum Malia White, who famously couldn't choose between her boson and her chef to make out with on the yacht. In this latest season of the show, White and co-star Lexi Wilson have gotten into a pretty heated feud. …Who wouldn't want to leave all that behind to simply carry JLo and Ben Affleck’s shopping bags?
It seems, though, that Lauren Cohen hasn't left behind her yachty roots entirely. On Below Deck, the crew is paid (and handsomely tipped) to do the guests’ bidding. There have even been a few semi-famous people on board including former MLB player Johnny Damon, sports journalist Jemele Hill and on this season of Below Deck: Med, superfan Roy Orbison, Jr. So Cohen might not be making the beds or pouring the drinks anymore as JLo's possible PA (or maybe she is?), but she's still doing the bidding for others higher up the food chain.
Meanwhile, JLo is celebrating her birthday in spectacular bikini fashion. Along with relaxing on a mega super yacht, the Hustlers actress made her relationship with Ben Affleck Instagram official. Not only that, but they recreated the butt-touching “Jenny from the Block” scene on the yacht. Touché, Bennifer.
The cast of Below Deck: Mediterranean Season 6 definitely likes big boats and they cannot lie, as their Sir-Mix-A-Lot remix can attest. But Ben Affleck, as can be seen of late, apparently likes both big boats and JLo’s butt, still.
