Reality star Kourtney Kardashian and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker have supposedly been dating for over a year now, but not everyone is happy for them. Well, it’s mainly one person who isn’t: Barker's ex-wife, Shanna Moakler. She actually has some serious animosity toward the Kardashians that stems from alleged cheating between Kim and Barker back in the day. Despite the very public trashing of their relationship, Kourtney Kardashian and Barker are reportedly still going strong. But in a strange twist of circumstances, Moakler apparently called it quits with her own boyfriend of late.
Pacific Blue actress Shanna Moakler has been in an on-again off-again relationship with model Matthew Rondeau for about a year. Supposedly, though, the two broke up for good around May, which would be close to the time Moakler first started taking aim at Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s relationship. In a statement to ET Online, Rondeau confirmed the breakup, saying:
I broke up with Shanna months ago. It is disappointing things couldn't work out between us two, but sometimes love isn't enough... making that decision to have us move on and go our separate ways was not easy, but I know it was the right decision. And overall, beneficial for the both of us.
The breakup statement isn't much to go on, in regard to what exactly took place between them. But while Shanna Moakler’s previous relationship dynamic remains mysterious, her thoughts on her ex-husband’s remain very clear. Along with the cheating allegations that Kim Kardashian has since denied, Moakler has also claimed that Kourtney Kardashian was destroying her relationship with her two teenage kids she shares with Barker. Kourtney Kardashian has yet to respond publicly to the accusations, preferring instead to post raunchy and unedited pics on social media.
The situation is a bit ironic, if the widely circulating rumors about Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are true. Namely, how Shanna Moakler is now single following her recent breakup and Kardashian and Barker are supposedly either secretly engaged or already married. Moakler and Barker’s daughter, Alabama, has apparently even taken to calling Kardashian by “stepmom.”
Extra complicated family dynamics seem to be the Kardashian-Jenner way, though. There’s this very awkward rhombus of two sisters, Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler. Khloe Kardashian is also dealing with exes Tristan Thompson and Lamar Odom bickering in her thirst trap comments. Likewise, the inner workings of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's relationship post-divorce continue to remain as confusing as ever since the release of the rapper's new music.
So really, Shanna Moakler’s breakup is probably just a footnote, if anything at all, to the Keeping Up with the Kardashians family. Who's to say, though, if her big problems with them will have some bearing on the upcoming Hulu project.
