Since going Instagram official earlier this year, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker haven’t hesitated to flaunt their love. The two have seemingly been inseparable over the past several months, having shared social media posts filled with PDA and even surprise haircuts. Kardashian’s most recent post features a movie night, which sees the two enjoying True Romance. The lovebirds seemed to playfully compare their love to that of the film’s protagonists, and Barker’s ex, Shanna Moakler, shared a fitting response for the occasion.
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s movie night in Mexico was very picturesque. They enjoyed an outdoor meal, complete with a movie projector, horses … and sand scrapped to look like rugs and tiled floors? Questions about the sand aside, the couple seemed to relish the moment, and Kardashian’s Instagram post paints an appropriately romantic portrait of the evening. Check it out for yourself down below:
Romance is definitely something worth celebrating but, anyone who’s seen Tony Scott’s True Romance probably wouldn’t want a relationship exactly like the one the lead characters had. That still didn’t stop fans from gushing about the photos. But leave it to Shanna Moakler to throw shade on the serene-looking movie night.
The Hollywood Exes star did so by taking to her Instagram stories and posting a still from the film. The image, which was captured by Cosmopolitan, shows Patricia Arquette’s Alabama flipping the bird. Moakler may be showing some serious hate with her post but, at the very least, I guess she deserves credit for nailing the movie, right?
This is far from the first time Shanna Moakler has criticized Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s relationship. Though the former reality TV star and model initially seemed to be fine with their romance, she later made claims against Kardashian’s sister. She alleged that Kim Kardashian and Barker had an affair, which Moakler claims ended her and the Blink-182 drummer’s four-year marriage. Kardashian has since denied the claims, and even Barker seemed to subtly clap back at the allegations.
Shanna Moakler has been experiencing changes in her own life as of late. Amid her blunt comments on her ex’s new relationship, Moakler and her boyfriend, Matthew Rondeau, broke up. The TV personality is also allegedly having troubles with her children. Her and Travis Barker’s 16-year-old daughter, Alabama, (who may or may not have gotten her name from True Romance) called out her mother, accusing her of being an absent parent. Her younger brother also seemed to back up the claims.
The outside drama doesn’t seem to be getting to Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, though. If anything, the two only seem to be getting closer. Just recently, Barker posted about flying for the first time since his 2008 plane crash. The post, which tagged Kardashian, included a photo of the two embracing and a brief caption stating, “With you anything is possible”.
At this point, it would seem that the two celebrities really have found true romance. Let’s just hope it never includes any of the trials present in the 1993 crime classic.
