Lucifer’s D.B. Woodside Shares His Wish For The Series After Sixth And Final Season
Lucifer’s sixth and final, final, season is premiering on Netflix next month and the cast and fans are getting emotional. After the show was cancelled and then brought back to life for Netflix, the Devil and his friends will soon make their final bows. And D.B. Woodside is sharing his wish for the series after the show comes to an end.
D.B. Woodside, who plays Lucifer’s angelic brother Amenadiel, shared his thoughts on the Fox-turned-Netflix series with Give Me My Remote as it heads into its last season. Ever since the streamer picked up the series for Season 4, Lucifer garnered a passionate fanbase and has become one of Netflix's most-streamed shows. Speaking about the show's legacy, Woodside shared his wish for how Lucifer lives on:
When Fox decided to cancel Lucifer after three seasons, Netflix renewed it for a fourth season, and soon, a fifth and final season was ordered by the streamer. While it looked to be the end of the supernatural series, Netflix decided to bring fans one last surprise and renewed Lucifer for one final season to say goodbye. The show officially wrapped filming earlier this year and it was an emotional time for everyone involved, and undoubtedly will be for everyone watching.
Since Lucifer Season 6 will involve the Devil now being God and ruling all, just how will this change things with his family and friends? It’s hard to tell, but it’s definitely something to look forward to in this final season. Meanwhile, like many final seasons, fans can expect some callbacks to earlier moments in the series, including the criminal from the very first episode who made Lucifer join the LAPD in the first place.
While it’s unknown just what the last season will consist of, one thing for sure is that plenty of people will check it out to see how it ends. Season 6 of Lucifer drops on Netflix on September 10 as one of the many new and returning shows that will deliver new seasons before the end of the year.
