Here's What Disney+ Is Adding In September 2021
Summer is almost over but Disney+ isn't ready to end the party quite yet. Disney+ in September has a pretty significant amount of content dropping on the service. Fans of Star Wars and Marvel will have lots to enjoy. Pixar animation fans get their fix, especially if you're a fan of Up. And a few great, and overlooked Disney movies will be joining, or rejoining, the library. Whatever your particular Disney itch is, there's something here to scratch it.
On the first of September we'll get a show that's now quite bittersweet. Dug Days, a series of animated shorts starring Up's resident squirrel chaser will debut. It will be one of the final performances of Ed Asner, who voiced Carl. On the lighter side, a movie that's probably fair to call a cult hit Tomorrowland, will arrive on September 3. It was an ambitious film that perhaps came up short in many ways, but still has a lot of fans who will be happy to see it come home.
Other items to look out for in the first part of the month include Doogie Howser M.D. reboot Doogie Kamealoha, M.D, which gender flips the character and moves the action to Hawai'i. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will also return to Disney+ after some time way, completing the franchise on the service.

The second half of September will largely see new episodes of all the currently running Disney+ series, as well as the second of two Pixar Sparkshorts, that are both fantastic. The big dop for the second half of September is Star Wars: Visions, a series of animated shorts that give the galaxy far, far away an anime sensibility, and the reimagining looks quite impressive.

Looking forward to October we could possibly both of Disney+'s final two (for now) Premiere Access titles come off of the extra pay option and join the rest of the Disney+ library, making next month potentially quite big ahead of Disney+'s two year anniversary in early November.
