Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Photos And Spoilers For The 'End Of The Beginning' And 'Turn, Turn, Turn'

We're in another Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. lull, this week. These awkward breaks between episodes really make a case for waiting and binge watching, don't they? Talk about a momentum-killer. While we wait until the series returns for its next new episode, we have some photos from next Tuesday's "End of the Beginning" episode, as well as an episode description for the "Turn, Turn, Turn," that's maddeningly vague but just detailed enough for us to obsess over!

We'll get to the April 8 episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in a minute. First, let's look at some of the photos we've seen from "End of the Beginning," which airs next Tuesday, April 1. It looks like this one will put the Clairvoyant mystery back at the center of the plot, and also bring back Mike (aka Deathlok)...

“End of the Beginning – Agents Garrett (Bill Paxton) and Triplett are back to help Coulson's team track down S.H.I.E.L.D.'S nefarious enemy – the Clairvoyant. But will Deathlok destroy them all to protect his master’s identity? “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” airs TUESDAY, APRIL 1 (8:00-9:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Among the photos ABC released, we have a look at Victoria Hand (Saffron Burrows), Agent Felix Blake (Titus Welliver) and Agent Jasper Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernandez).

And this one shows us Antoine Triplett (BJ Britt) and Agent John Garrett (Bill Paxton), along with some of Coulson's team.

Finally, a look at J. August Richards as Deathlok...

Deathlok

I'm excited to see the return of Mike as Deathlok, but I'm less interested in having the Clairvoyant mystery teased further. Hopefully there will be some interesting developments with Garrett and Triplett's interactions with Coulson's team, and who knows what the episode will reveal?

Besides people standing around...

Standing

I'm actually more intrigued by the description of the episode for "Turn, Turn, Turn." Now, those averse to potential spoilers or who don't want to look too far ahead might want to read on with caution, as this episode doesn't air until April 8. But I'm thinking this episode might address the fairly massive cliffhanger from "Yes Men". But read the description and judge for yourself...

“Turn, Turn, Turn” – Coulson and his team find themselves without anyone they can trust, only to discover that they are trapped with a traitor in their midst, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” TUESDAY, APRIL 8 (8:00-9:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Trapped.

Traitor.

Trapped could imply that the team is actually stuck somewhere and there's no one they can turn to for help. Or it could mean trapped in a more figurative sense in that they discover they're on their own and out of the loop and have no idea what to do next. I'm assuming it's meant to be taken a bit more literally though. Either way, I'm wondering how they get into this situation. And of course, how they'll get out of it.

And then there's the mentioned "Traitor." That implies betrayal, obviously, so someone they trusted turned out to be untrustworthy, but is it even safe to assume that this traitor is someone among Coulson's small group? It's probably not safe to assume anything considering we still have a whole episode to watch before this one and there could be crucial info that hasn't been revealed to us yet.

But it's also possible that the traitor referenced is Melinda May. The only thing we know right now is that she's reporting information about Coulson to someone. Does that qualify her as a traitor? I guess it depends on who she's reporting that information to and what else she's been leaking about the team. I feel like there might be an explanation for all of this that doesn't turn May into a bad guy, but in the meantime, it's also very possible that she's the character referenced in the description. We'll have to wait and see when the "Turn, Turn, Turn" episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs.
