Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s 'Providence' Episode Gets A Snowy Poster

Spoilers ahead if you're not caught up on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. through "Turn, Turn, Turn."

I don't think I've been this excited about an episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. since the premiere. Sure, I've looked forward to new episodes that have aired, especially this week's, but factoring in the way "Turn, Turn, Turn," left off and this whole mess with Hydra, there's plenty of reason to hope that the remaining episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be thrilling and unpredictable. Just looking at the above poster, which teases Episode 18, "Providence," which -- please make note -- airs Tuesday night at 9:00 p.m. ET, an hour after the usual Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. timeslot.

EW unveiled the above poster, which was designed by Paolo Rivera and gives us a look at Coulson and his team, as well as Raina and Triplett. And Ward, since it's not entirely clear anymore if he's still a part of Coulson's team. Behind them, instead of the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo, we see the HYDRA logo set behind them.

"Turn, Turn, Turn," left off with Ward seemingly demonstrating his allegiance to Hydra, the dark organization that infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D.. Some theorize that Ward killing Hand and the other agents and taking off with Garrett is all part of some bigger plan, as in an undercover mission or something. But it's entirely possible that Ward has either chosen to side with his old mentor, or he's Team Hydra for his own reasons. Either way, the preview for "Providence" suggests we'll get more information on that situation...

We also get a glimpse of that snowy backdrop, which is teased in the above poster. Things are looking pretty chilly for these characters, who now have to figure out where they can go and who they can trust.

Speaking of trustworthy, as we shared earlier this week, Cobie Smulders is set to return to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. later this month, reprising her role of Maria Hill, a (former) S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who was last seen in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Her casting news comes with word that there will be plenty of action involved in her appearance. So we have that to look forward to, but Smulders won't appear on the series until April 29. In the meantime, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s "Providence" episode airs TUESDAY, APRIL 15 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET).
